Buget place and most peacefull. You will get rooms or flats touching river ganga which is best part of this ashram. Must visit for divine time also. Food is also tasty and best part is ganga aarti. Most of the AC rooms are acomodated by foreigners so please book in advance.

Thsi place is great only for those who want to relax, meditate and practice some good hatha yoga. It is a monastery for the hindu religion, therefore you will find people walking around visiting the ground and making offerings to the gods statues etc I found myself at ease there, everyone is friendly and the yoga lessons were great (even... Was there for New Year with friends, its a peaceful place and morning and evening aarti's are the highlight. Enjoyed dipping feet in icy cold water as I am not brave enough to bathe at such a chilly water that too in winters.

I visited Parmarth three years ago in year 2012 and was really impressed with the place. At that time I donated much more on my own than what they are now demanding as mandatory fee. Ashram has now changed into commercialized budget hotel. AC rooms are mainly meant for western people or some VIP Indians. You don’t have choice of... More

Parmarth Niketan used to be a good place to stay while pursuing spiritual interests. Now the so-called donations are mandatory fees and the guest rooms have dirty bathrooms and unchanged sheets. The laundry was washed and ironed very poorly. The reception staff can be surly – like this other reviewer says, it depends who you get. While the arati on... More

Me and my partner spent 5 nights here although originally where told no room available then were only offered 2 days. The reception isn't very helpful, here you need to be persistent and I think it depends on who is on the counter. Our room was located in the block for westerners (Ganga) I think. Had a noisy fan although... More

Parmarth a long time ago seemed to be a nice and genuine space of spirituality, now the donations are mandatory and have incrwased from Rs 200 to Rs 1000 a night clearly showing an increasing trend of exploiting spirituality for money. There are much more better and genuine ashrams or just hotels that can be found to be much cheaper.

Best Ganga aarti that I've seen across Haridwar & Rishikesh. Light music before and after music puts you in trance. They provide aarti sets as well to you so you can perform aarti alongwith others. Ashram is nice inside with bio toilet. I didn't stay here but seems to be good place.

An overall amazing experience.. Teachers are extremely knowledgable on their subjects.. staff is helpful at the ashram, except a few. Ganga aarti is something that will certainly stay with you for ever...a truly divine experience! Nothing can describe it in words...Amenities are basic, as it is an Ashram... so if you are looking for luxury and room services, this is... More
