I am sure this hotel is much better when the weather is warm. I stayed there during the month of December when it was very cold inside and outside the hotel. It didn't help that the only electric heater offered was semi-broken and that my bedroom door did not fit properly - there being a fierce draught coming into the... More

I stayed in the single room for quite long in this hotel (about 3 weeks). The room was OK and value with the price. Since this hotel located near laxman jhula, so the view is undoubtable. The roof top is perfect to enjoy the book in the sunny day or chilling out with friends occompanied by moon and star. In... More

Once you track the reception guy down (to be fair he seems to work 24/7 so who am I to begrudge him a break) and barter the room down, it's totally fine here. Location is great, right near the bridge. The room was clean, hot water once you heat the boiler up. Pretty standard stuff. Couldn't fault the view over... More

The reception by either the manager or owner was completely uninviting. It was such a turn off and remained so that I left after the first night. I feel it was very overpriced even though the room was large. The curtains didnt even cover the windows so it was very light in the morning. Location is good but noisy at... More

After seeing many rooms in the area, this place is definitely a great budget option, where you get better value for your money (compared to he other places around). Room and toilet were clean, and many rooms have great Ganga River view.

Hi The Ishan Hotel is located on the true right side of Ganges, 100 meters from Laxman Jhulla bridge. My wife and I have a room, or rather two rooms, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the river and the bridge. The roof top terrasse is just outside our door. The hotel is more that reasonably clean and there is... More

My hotel room was beautiful with 2 living rooms and a double bed, the view from the window was superb! A/C available if you want. You can sit and relax watching the people passing by on Laksmanjhula bridge. The staff was very friendly and we never had any problems, only the first day was no water but it was because... More

This hotel was good for Indian standards. If you are going to Rishikesh, it has to be expected that things won't be like you would find a fully developed country. I stayed in a 400 rupee/night room for a month and was quite happy with it. Beautiful view of the Ganga from my room and the restaurant. The hotel was... More

Hotel ishan is a great choice due to location, free WiFi, own restaurant.. Our room was large, big bathroom, balcony overlooking the ganges. Cleanliness is average, but only what you expect when you're paying 1000 rupees a night (double room with AC). Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant which serves decent food. The pasta dishes are pretty good.
