We loved our experience at the tree of life Himalayan hideaway so much we stayed several times during our 3 months in Rishikesh! It is so peaceful and serene, especially down on their private beach on the River Ganges. This is the perfect place to bask in Mother Nature, meditate and connect with your inner self. I felt at home... More

Dear SharonCalvert, Many thanks for your generous review. I think you have captured the essence of our Lodge with your words. Though it is important for me to add here for the sake of others who might read this review that the Lodge is located 19 kms outside of Rishikesh. Not quite in Rishikesh although if you've stayed in Rishikesh... More

My partner and I were thrilled to be assigned to a cottage that gave us a brilliant view of the Holy Ganga. The only sounds were birdsong and the river, 100 meters below. The amenities in the bathroom were terrific and we hated to leave. The meals were delicious and service was great...leisurely but not lazy...and we'd have gladly added... More

This is one of the nicest places we stayed whilst in India, such a peaceful place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of main rishikesh area. We really enjoyed the private beach space next to the river, such am inspiring place filled with different birds and butterflies, one for mature lovers. The rooms had heaters which was a... More

Stayed at Tree of Life for one night and luved the place, service and everything about this resort. Food is excellent, service is quick, staff is really attentive. We did a bit of trekking down the Ganga beach and it was fun and adventurous. The Ganga beach was mesmerizing, clean water and spotless white sand. I would really want to... More

When we arrived we were worried that we wouldn't be able to do anything because the place was so remote and the paths steep. We are both in our 70's and I have health problems which would have made a walk to the Ganges impossible. However, we discussed our concerns with the wonderful manager Madhav and within minutes we had... More

After some hectic days in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur my plan was to relax by the foot of Himalaya. I arrived Tree of Life and had a very warm and smiling welcome by the staff. Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of Feb. We had initial problems finding the place (as we were misdirected by a policeman!) But when we arrived we had such a warm welcome....nothing too much trouble! The whole team were so attentive. We had been allocated the room (Eric Shipton) closest to dining room and reception... Me and my wife booked this place as we wanted to visit Rishikesh for the first time. Well maintained place in a very peaceful environment. The food is excellent and the team is very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place. A bit outside rishikesh which is not a bad thing if you want to be outside the turmoil. A means of transportation is however required
