When you first arrive at Dar Ahlam you'll question if your in the right place...It is a nice looking, "old 19th century Kasbah" but its situated in a very remote, dusty area that doesn't feel safe, especially with whats going on in today's world. On their website they claim to be at 'The Door to The Desert', well that door... More

Dar Ahlam was over the top. We enjoyed exploring all of the rooms and grounds. The decor and service was outstanding. The food was good, but still very traditional. So much food and wine. Was a stunning resort and the service was amazing but probably more than we needed. There is so much staff and they are all very attentive.... More

Dar Ahlam is the antithesis of a resort hotel; there is no reception, there are no forms, there are no set times for meals, just simple luxury in a magnificent and tastefully converted and decorated Kasbah along a dusty road on the outskirts of Skoura. Staff simply appear when you want to eat, go to the spa or embark on... More

It's been a week since I left Dar Ahlam and I am changed forever. This was the most magical and special place I have ever been. And my husband feels the same. We are already talking about returning because it was so perfect it's calling to us. It's hard to describe in words but let me try. It's like having... More

This region of Morocco gets rain 10 days per year. Our arrival was on one of the ten. Our transport delivered us to a muddy car port, where we were met with umbrellas by the hotelier. He, Jesse, brought us through a doorway where my 6 ft 4 in husband had to duck to get through. The walls of the... More

Dar Ahlam was a true oasis in the middle of our visit to Morocco. It's hard to add to previous reviewers' superlatives, but just to say that it's still a magical place and a wonderful place to spend 2 nights after a desert visit. We took advantage of the guide and driver in the morning but spent the afternoon relaxing... More

My husband and i just got back from Morocco. The definite highlight of our trip was our 3 night stay at Dar Ahlam. All the raves about this special place are well deserved. The staff is so unobtrusive but attentive and the food is to die for. The trip to the desert camp is definitely a must do - a... More

In a remote village, in a remote spot, a remote place providing a unique experience. Amazing staff, fabulous food, fascinating day trips and charming spa. The hotel has a warm pool, a room where clients can meet.. Otherwise your room is very private.. We feel we need to spend a few days at Dar Ahlam, it grows on you. The... More

My wife and I recently spent 3 days at Dar Ahlam during our trip to Morocco. What a special location. The hotel really focuses on creating intimate and romantic settings - each of our meals were set up privately at different locations at the hotel or in the oasis. There are no phones and no TVs (though you can get... More
