We stayed there last week and it was a pleasant experience. It's a great place to watch a sunset and breakfast on the roof is quite nice. It is in a great location and it has everything that you need in a Riad. The only downside is the price, which is a little excessive.

The two guys running this riad have spent a couple of years getting through the red tape and restoring this property. Monumental effort that will hopefully pay off for all the input. Friendly and well located in the medina of Safi it has great views of the port and Atlantic. The local staff are not professionally trained but are keen... More

Although we visit Morocco regularly, this was our first stay in Safi. Le Cheval Blanc proved to be a very good choice - well located, good sized rooms, comfortable beds, a good breakfast. Olivier sat with us at breakfast and was charming company.

Perfect experience. Super beautiful, well located, lots of charm. Services was excellent, the owner (Olivier) very kind, and the city, surprisinly cool, calm, clean and safe. Not far from good beaches like this one (full of surfers): http://goo.gl/maps/zIFgV

Thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately, Safi is a city that is often criticized. It may not be the charm of some small towns but its medina is certainly one of the most beautiful of Morocco and its atmosphere is much more authentic than Essaouira or Marrackech for example. More

The riad is located close to the central square and the sea castle in the Safi Medina down a small dark alley way. The riad is run by a talkative Frenchman who is more than willing to share experiences and hints about Morocco and Safi. Food, both breakfast and dinner is great. Breakfast is served at the rooftop with a... More

Thank you to both our hosts for a truly relaxing time. After visiting nearby villages, local sights and a tour of the medina, we finally managed to wind down and felt the benefit of this quiet riad. We ate there most evenings because the food prepared by a local lady was delicious. The local catch (safi is a port) is... More

It's difficult to give this very attractive riad in Safi's medina a three-out-of-five review, and we would certainly give it a second look were we to travel to Safi again. The location was perfect for exploring Safi's medina, the Portuguese castle and the newer area of the city, and the riad was easy to find (very well sign-posted). The accommodation... More

We started our Morrocan experience driving from Marrakech airport to Safi an interesting experience in its self.On arrival at Safi we stopped at the entrance to the medina fortunately two locals new the way to the riad le cheval blanc down a dark passage deep in the heart of the Medina. Once in side the very tastefully newly refurbished Riad... More

This place is nestled in the Medina of safi and is a really great value. The rooms are competitively priced for the area and the building has so much more character than other local hotels. Breakfast was complementary and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
