My husband and I stayed at the Meander Inn for 3 nights...which was 3 nights to long! Upon our arrival the Hosts were extremely intoxicated and very very insulting. I can only confirm the statements made about the owner. I am European myself and I have a good sense of humor but the jokes of Alain are anything but funny. We just spent the weekend at the Meander Inn and had a wonderful time. The setting is beautiful along the Rockfish River, and the Inn is set high on a rocky mound overlooking acres of horse country. I booked a stay in December of 2005. Upon arrival at the appointed time, I found the Inn completely empty except for a cat. No cars, no sign of life. We were delighted with our stay at the Meander Inn. The innkeepers are hospitable and accomodating. They go out of their way to make you comfortable and welcome.
