Stayed in the Schloss room, the original front room of the bed and breakfast. Such neat history here. It was just beautiful, the room was decorated so nicely and kept very clean. The room also had a private side porch with comfortable seating. From the front of home, the views are just incredible, breathtaking. We did not personally bring a... More

We stayed in the Kensington Room and enjoyed the Romantic Package. The room was perfect with a super comfortable bed, and the view from our room was breathtaking! The staff was wonderful and always ready to do anything they could to make the visit more enjoyable. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. The family pets were really... More

The entire staff was eager to help in any way possible. Every time we mentioned that we might like something they were eager to accommodate. Be sure to enjoy the dinner. It was as gourmet as any restaurant around. Be sure to schedule time just sitting on the porch. The weather is nice, even in the summer, and they keep... More

A historic inn situated in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains (very scenic). The staff was courteous and attentive, and was very helpful in identifying the best local wineries, cideries, and breweries to visit. The inn itself was in very good shape, although it did have a few blemishes due to its age (some creaky floors, small cracks in... More

Our room (the Kensington) was spacious, had a great view of the mountains, and one of the most comfortable beds that I have slept in. The breakfasts were fabulous, not just bland continental juice and pastry. It was a three-course meal, with fresh baked breads (the apple turnover was flaky and delicious), and a hot course. The owners are friendly... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Mark Addy Inn the weekend of June 5th. It is easy to get to the inn which is just a few miles off of I-64. We enjoyed its quaintness to include its creaky, wooden floor, antique furniture, and other eccentricities. We stayed at the Colonel's Room/Quarter which was very spacious and had... More

This was our first stay at a B&B. We had a great first experience. We had wonderful service and were greeted by the owner. Our room was huge (Kensington) 2nd floor with a beautiful view of the fountain out front and the mountains. The Inn sits right next to the road but we did not hear road noises and was... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2015. Got a nice deal through Groupon and decided to get away from the city life for a bit. Drive: Quite a long drive (about 8 hrs) from NYC. Once you get out of Interstates and into to country roads, it becomes brilliant. Driving through to the hiking trails has green, lonely... More

The Mark Addy is a jewel of a Bed & Breakfast, nestled in the beautiful wine country of southern Virginia. It's located off of Rte 151, in the most pristine landscape you could imagine. i suggest getting a room with a balcony so that you can gaze the multitude of stars at night. The staff is graciously accommodating and warm,... More
