Good place for a nice, relaxing, weekend away. We stayed in the Kensington, which had a very comfortable bed, sitting area and lovely two person jetted soaking tub. Breakfast was delicious and different both days. Leslie arranged for us to have a couples massage right at the Inn, which was fantastic. We had dinner there one of the nights we... More

stayed here in Feb 2000 and Mark Addy was a standard of excellence. Since that time the management has changed. The most remarkable feature is the fact they serve dinner. Well as far as breakfast the hash browns were as tasty as you would expect from the frozen food section of a grocery store. The steak at dinner was tough... More

Dear John, We thank you for the 4 star rating. We do find it confusing as to why you would not recommend a 4 star B&B. You are 100% mistaken about several things. 1st of all, the hash browns on your 1st morning here were most certainly homemade with fresh herbs and vegetables from our winter greenhouse garden. 2nd of... This is a lovely bed and breakfast nestled in the country outside of Charlottesville, VA. The ambience is that of a beautiful, old country house, with wood flooring, and comfortable country, antique-style furnishings - each room is designed with its own distinctive flair. We stayed in the Elena room - which had a romantic atmosphere, a king-size bed (often rare... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Mark Addy. Lovely Home, Leslie and Raj were so nice and the food was just wonderful! If your looking at a B&B for a nice quiet time away with good food and company, I would highly recommend!

Overall, it was a very pleasant visit to the Mark Addy. I was looking for forward to spectacular but received very good. Perhaps I am more particular than other reviewers as I found a few negatives with the inn. However, the innkeepers are super nice people, knowledgable and helpful in all aspects. We enjoyed many conversations with them during our... More

I spent two nights here with my wife. If someone wants to stay relatively close to DC (2.5 hours), but also would like to be near to scenic drives, wine trails, and other attractions, this is the right place to stay. Beautiful rooms, great food, and amazing atmosphere provided by the owners. Thank you!

We celebrated our 20th anniversary at The Mark Addy and truly enjoyed our stay! The innkeepers were attentive and helpful. The rooms were decorated with comfortable fixtures and extras like private porches and mountain views. The grounds were lovely and offered many private gardens. The Fountain Room, the dining room at the inn, offered gourmet breakfasts and dinners. The food... More

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay!! The food was amazing, the hospitality was excellent, and our room (Schloss) was superb. We loved the new paint job, the new shower and wonderful bathroom floor, the comfy bed, the killer private porch...the list goes on and on. Our hostess, Leslie, provided us with a typed day planner full of suggestions... More

Lovely Inn in va wine country. The owners were hands on and eager to please. Breakfast was delicious and they were willing to cater to any food issues. Charming inn with very nicely decorated rooms. Standard rooms were adequate and interestingly decorated. Would be a lovely place to have a wedding photo taken in the spring or summer. They do... More

We stayed @ Mark Addy the 1st 2 nights of our 6 day VA Wine Country trip. The grounds surrounding the Inn are lovely; lots of different plants and flowers in bloom; great place to take an after breakfast walk before heading out for the day's activities. On the front porch sits a parrot- great entertainment while sipping VA wines... More
