Quite simply, this is the best Bed and Breakfast that I've ever stayed at! And there are many reasons....To start, the hosts were extremely hospitable, flexible, and willing to do whatever it took to make my stay enjoyable. They were always accessible, even providing their cell phone numbers, so they could be reached at any time. The breakfasts were great--just... more

A lovely historic house in a beautiful setting, the Mark Addy Inn has massive potential, and the owners are very welcoming. However, the current economic situation has led them to cut corners and save on upkeep. It shows. The rooms look tired and the daily housekeeping missed details that matter (we had no clean towels in three days, for example... more

My wife and I were there with another couple right after Memorial Day. Our rooms were wonderful, the breakfasts not only delicious but masterfully presented, and Leslie and Raphael did all they could to make us comfortable. Perfect location for those who enjoy Virginia's wine country, or would like to see Charlottesville, or Monticello or go up to Wintergreen. One... more

we stayed at the Mark Addy to celebrate our anniversary. This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast. I would highly recommend the Mark Addy to anyone looking for relaxing time in a beautiful setting. It is centrally located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and many of the wineries of the area. The hosts were simply wonderful.... more

My fiancée and I were looking to escape DC for a romantic weekend of hiking and wineries. I found the Mark Addy Inn on the internet, and it appeared to be in a great location for doing both. The Inn is roughly a 2 hour and 45 minute drive from DC, though we felt like we were much farther away... more

My daughters and I took a girl trip to the Virginia wineries and Monticello, staying two nights at the Mark Addy. We knew we would love the place when we drove up and saw our hostesses on the front porch with several dogs and cats. We are pet lovers so we knew we had come to the right place. Apparently... more

My husband surprised me with a midweek, two night escape to the Mark Addy Inn in beautiful Nellysford, VA about 20 minutes south of Charlottesville. The colonel blue and soft yellow exterior and broad porches gave way to a two story foyer. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the innkeeper and given a personal tour of the Inn.... more

We recently stayed at the Mark Addy for a couple of nights and were very disappointed. First, the web site clearly states that we would be called back for reservations made online, as time passed we were a little worried and my boyfriend called twice to confirm. When we were finally called back the owner was clearly annoyed and stated... more
