Very convenient location across from the Rte. 81 off ramp. Gas station is also located next to the campground entrance. We had a nice level pull through site w/full hookups. Campground was clean and well maintained. I would like to come back and spend more time here than we were able to since we were just passing through.

We stayed here for four days between Virginia Tech football games. My opinion is this is a great campground. Staff was very cordial and helpful. Our site was level. Good water pressure and convenient hook ups. Campground was very clean. Dog area was nice and there was a lot of extra area to walk the dogs. The campground is also... More

We've stayed in a number of KOAs, and this was one of my favorites so far. The pool was open late, which for my roadtripping family was a great amenity. The bathrooms were clean and the campground was quite and well-maintained. The wi-fi did not work well at our site, but we were warned of this when we checked-in, so... More

This is my KOA of choice when traveling north and south. It is quiet, pretty and the economical cabins are a welcome home after a hard days drive. You can tell this KOA is well loved as the grounds are nicely kept and a beautiful wood round walkway leads to bath houses. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. I am... More

First time camping with my husband (despite being together for over 25 years) and the first time our youngest slept without four walls and it was really fun. We had rain which saturated our tent from the underside but the KOA crew helped us out with a cabin upgrade. Everyone was friendly and most importantly the bathrooms were very clean!!... More

My husband and our dogs stayed here for five night and had a great experience. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The campsites are nice, most with decks and shade trees. It's very clean and the dog park is awesome. The location is also very convenient. We are somewhat new to RVing and will definitely recommend this KOA to... More

Our family of 6 stayed in a cabin, oops sorry, "kabin", for a weekend in August. It was very humid outside so we were glad for the air conditioning in the cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff is very friendly and helpful! My kids loved the pool, which was clean and not... More

Tent Camping with the family. The kids had fun. Would definitely stay here again. Pros - Shady campsites Super friendly and helpful staff Recently renovated and very clean bathhouse Pool looked fresh and clean Other amenities like playground, and large checkers board Cons - Sites seem a bit close together for my liking Mosquitos were bad (but that's probably true... Had a great time. Went to the zoo & safari. KOA had a scare trail & lots to do for kids. My grandchildren had a great time. Only thing was our cabin was infested with stink bugs. They were everywhere inside the cabin.

We stopped here on our way south during our vacation. The park is easy to find with excellent on/off interstate access. Check in was a snap with a personal escort to our site. Hook ups were easy. After a long day on the road we were appreciative of their ice cream social. Several flavors from which to choose, liberal servings,... More
