I stayed at the Widow Kip's on my way to Florida, and will definitely be returning on my next trip. Betty and Bob meet their guest's needs in a warm, and friendly manner. I stayed in the Guest cottage which was spacious and had a cute porch for sitting outside and relaxing. I was traveling with a dog and there... More

We just returned from a two-night weekend stay. As others have written, the inn is spotless and the innkeepers, Bob and Betty, attentive hosts. Mt. Jackson is a good jumping-off spot for excursions in the valley, and we benefitted from Bob and Betty's tips about the area. A couple of things to note: The inn is located very close to... More

We booked the cottage with kitchenette (named Silk Purse) and upon our arrival were given one without a kitchenette (Sow's Ear). The proprietor explained that the guests who had the cottage we booked were staying 3 days - not 1. We then tried to make the best of a bad situation by explaining that the reason we wanted the kitchenette... More

We would like to thank you for writing a review of our inn. We have had the inn for 23 years. We do realize that misunderstandings happen, and we do make an effort to correct it. We offered to have them come and stay, as our guests, in the Silk Purse Cottage, but they have not responded. More

I just returned from a two night stay at the WIdow Kip's. As many have said before, the inn and the innkeepers, Bob and Betty, are wonderful. The breakfasts they serve are very tasty. My room was well-sized and well-appointed. Bob and Betty truly do everything they can do to make you feel welcome and to make your stay enjoyable.... More

I absolutely LOVE this property. The innkeepers, Betty and Bob, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They treat every guest as if they were their only guests. I will continue to make The Widow Kip's my only place to stay in VA!!!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We stayed in the Wildflower room in the Inn. Bed was very soft and comfy. The house is beautiful and location is perfect right off 81. The best part about the whole stay is breakfast! Betty serves a 2-course meal. Very, very good food and enough to eat! Bob &... More

This bed and breakfast is an amazing deal and run by the sweetest couple, who are like the most adorable grandparents you want to adopt. Breakfast is delicious, best pancakes I have ever had. They are also super sweet and helpful, they gave us recommendations of what to do and where to eat dinner and would ask about our day.... More

Glad we chose this place! The owners were absolutely wonderful hosts and couldn't have been kinder. The breakfast was delicious. Beautiful house and spacious room. Only thing that could have made it better is if the bathroom was updated. Will definitely be back if we are the in the area!

On our way to Williamsburg, we spent a night in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley at Widow Kip's B&B. We enjoyed our stay, sleeping soundly on the cushy mattress placed on a huge antique bed. Each room is tastefully decorated with many antiques and (what my hubby likes to refer to as) nicknacks. The property itself was enjoyed by my friend... More

We were in neighboring Woodstock, VA to take a hot air balloon ride for our anniversary. The ride had to be rescheduled a couple times, so we didn't make any hotel reservations just in case we would have to reschedule. I had seen Widow Kip's listed before and thought it sounded like a nice place to stay, so after our... More
