After searching high and low for the perfect place for our Leadership Retreat, we settled on the Wayside Inn because of its unique charm and the unbeatable prices. Becky, George and their staff are marvelous hosts and let us completely take over the place. Not only did they let us set up the rooms early but they anticipated our every... More

My wife, I and our 16 month old son spent two nights here for my 40th birthday. The service and room were great as were our hosts george and becky. The inn itself has great history tied to the Battle of Cedar Creek. if your doing a civil war trip to this area, this the place to stay. Great value... More

My wife and I held our wedding and reception at Wayside in July. The old world charm of the inn was a perfect fit as well as the food and accommodations. We were there for 2 days along with some of our family and guests. George & Becky...and all the staff worked to make everything come together successfully. I would... More

My wife and I ate here yesterday at the yard crawl event. They said it was a Lucy and Desi tribute. The girl dressed liked Lucy did not even know her maiden name which was Magillacutte. They asked if anyone could play the bongos which no one could. They played old Lucy videos on a paper screen. This was bad... More

Hi Richard.....we really appreciate your thoughtful review and are very disappointed you had a negative experience with us. Rest assured....we will use this as a learning experience for myself and our staff. Our guiding principal here at Wayside Inn and Larrick's Tavern is "complete satisfaction" of every customer. If you will be so kind as to contact me (George) directly,... More

A friend and I were referred to the Wayside Inn by the folks at the Strasburg Antique Emporium when we asked if there was live music playing anywhere nearby. We found the Wayside Inn to be charming, the owners and staff super friendly and the dinner delicious. Then we stayed for Bob Payne and thoroughly enjoyed his music and interactions... More

About 25 of us gathered at the Wayside Inn for a family wedding on July 12th. We were warmly greeted on arrival and Becky and George made us very welcome. The Inn is steeped in history and is deceptively big with lots of areas for sitting, dining and just chilling. The bedrooms were amazing and ours had a gorgeous four... More

This inn reeks charm and history. I meandered through room after room filled with treasures, and ended up in the comfy bar for a mild libation. The hosts are warm and welcoming. The staff aims to please. And, somewhat unusual in a historic property, THE BED WAS GOOD! (We slept SO well) The rooms conveniently even have adjoining baths. Quaint?... More

We spent our 4th of July at the fascinating Wayside Inn, located in Middletown, VA. This bed and breakfast is an amazing historical treasure! We found out it is the oldest continuously running inn in the United States. It really tells a story of glorious bygone days. We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted warmly in the lobby.... More

I was with the Hogan Family reunion and we had an outstanding meal for 35 people. We had a choice of Roast pork loin that melted in your mouth or Chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese or Shrimp and scallops over pasta. Every choice was great ! The peanut soup was unbelievable and they even gave us the recipe.... More

George and Becky have done a great job of reviving the Wayside Inn. It is a historic inn so the luxury that some inns have is missing, but the hosts and history make up for fancy rooms. The rooms are very clean, have all the amenities of a 5 star hotel, and it is a good value. Breakfasts are abundant,... More
