The Wayside used to have a fairly extensive sort of old fashioned menu. Things like meatload and mashed potatoes, open faced hot turkey sandwiches, etc. This trip is seems that the restaurant now has a very limited menu and nothing really noteworthy. The Wayside Inn has some good points, particularly if you are interested in history. The Civil War battle of Cedar Creek spilled over into the street outside, and the hotel can be clearly seen in contemporary prints of the battle.
