My husband and I were traveling on Blue Ridge Pkwy on our motorcycle and got stuck in quick and heavy rain. Needless to say we were drenched and looking for place to stay rest and dry out. Our GPS directed us to this hotel.I was hesitant the outside appearance was a bit run down but we had no other choice... More

The Blue Ridge Motel,on US Route 58, is the first business west of the Blue Ridge Parkway interchange at Meadows of Dan. It is convenient to the parkway and to the small tourist build-up just east of the parkway interchange. Honestly, the outside of the place looks run down and cluttered, but I got a room on the logic that I was... More

Good old fashioned motel. We stayed on a weekend, mid October. We don't need a generic Comfort Inn or something better for enjoying the mountains. A nice surprise. We'll stay again. Fridge, microwave, TV, and wi-fi -- none of which we needed, but good to pass that info on.

located just off the parkway, it seemed very deserted and a little bit creepy and scary. There was no deadbolt or slide lock on the door, only the key lock. The room was very outdated, no refrigerator, no microwave. The A/C was in the bathroom, as well as a round card table (?). The bed dipped in the middle and... More

I stayed here the evening of 9/18. I've stayed at this hotel many times. I'm a motorcycle rider & this locale offers a good jumping off point for some good & twisty roads. The hotel is very general & is nothing fancy. It was clean & the beds & pillows very comfortable. The fact that the only amenity provided is... More

The best thing about this motel is that Meadows of Dan is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, rather than 10-20 miles down the mountain to a larger city. The whole town seems quite forgotten, and there's not much choice in motels. Reasonable price for an old mainstay business, old-fashion decor, clean, quiet. The once-touted restaurant no longer operates, and... More

Best thing is the location -- just feet from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This small one-story motel has average sized rooms, with ac (won't need if you leave the windows open for that nice, cool mountain air), cable TV with lots of channels, and very gracious hosts. (Her flowers are glorious by the way!). However, do NOT expect room service,... More

We were looking for a town to stay near the Blue Ridge Parkway that was convenient to Mabry Mill and Rocky Knob. Meadows of Dan was the closest. I came across the name of this motel while searching on Yahoo and we decided to give it a try. It had not been previously reviewed on TripAdvisor. When we found our... More
