This was our first visit to Massanutten. The front desk staff was not very welcoming. Our unit was over booked and the entrance to our unit was very dirty. Food and drinks left in the entrance by other guest and the ants were having a feast in the lobby. Occupants of our unit was having a block party with loud... More

I'm at odds with how to review this place. They call it a resort but it's more like a family focused area that has a "hotel" and lots of family friendly and outdoor activities. It's not a resort in the vein of Nemacolin or the Salamander, but more of a rustic facility that has rentals of houses, townhouses and rooms.... More

Took a vacation to the Shenandoah Mountains for hiking and the outdoors. Stayed at the Massanutten Resort in a villa. Very clean, beautiful with a great view of the mountains and the golf course. Felt like we were in a condo for sure with a full kitchen, dining room, fireplace and huge master bedroom with a jacuzzi. The staff is... More

My husband and I won this trip to Massanutten Resort through one of these free giveaways, which was very cool. The stay was a standard hotel room, although you had to drive or walk a while to get to the restaurant or hotel amenities. There was no room service or anything like that in the section where we were staying.... More

The living quarters at a "resort" should appear welcoming, inviting, clean, vibrant and should offer space, comfort and cleanliness so you feel and sleep good while you are away from your own home. I was disappointed to walk into hotel 6 at the "resort" and feel like I was walking in to a motel 6 type of environment- a 2... More

My mother has been a long-time owner at this resort, upgrading 4 times, now owner in Regal Vista. The purchase of Regal Vista was a great move for my elderly mother, due to the one-floor plan and security of having a garage. Our family has personally brought 3 other families to this resort, also now long term owners with each... More

Hi there-Massanutten bills their owners in November and the Maintenance fees are due on January 1st. The owners association sends out 3 notices before turning anyone over to collections on March 31st. This year Massanutten actually gave an additional 2 weeks and did not turn anyone over until mid-April. We empathize with the situation and hope that you understand that... More

Only swimming was free; everything else cost money, including aquafit sessions. Not one of the 3 clocks was set to time; bedroom clock had a lock device so unable to set time or alarm. Housekeeping did come when called; removed lock device & set time in bedroom. Did not fix time on living room clock when told of that. Outdoors... More

We had booked this condo through the Armed Forces Vacation club and got sucked into the timeshare presentation for activity cards that we could' t or didn't use. We have booked many other resorts through AFV and have never been asked about doing a presentation, we couldn't get our parking pass until we said yes, then tried to get out... More

It's a timeshare resort so there is a ton of stuff to do year round. The best thing on the resort is the ski slopes and an outdoor ice rink. Near by there is plenty to do, including visiting the Luray Caverns.
