We drove about 30 miles out of our way to stay here based on TripAdvisor recommendations. My 13-year old son and I were really pleased with our decision to add some time to our trip to have this experience. Our room was truly incredible. Large fluffy beds, large room with sofa, desk, refrigerator. Bathroom was more like a spa. We... More

I look forward to my business travels when they are in the Lynchburg area as my reward after a busy day at work, is staying at the Craddock Terry! This boutique hotel makes every stay an "experience"! Each room is unique in decor but offers the same comfortable stay! The beds are amazing and the shoe box breakfast is an... More

We reserved a room at the Craddock at the recommendation of a my partner's aunt, a Lynchburg resident. The desk staff were very efficient and allowed us to put our bikes in the room. The room was so large we could have ridden our bikes in there. The beds were so plush and furnishings top notch. The 12 foot ceilings... More

I really enjoyed my stay at this gem of a hotel. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Sunday night is not the best time of the week to stay. Lots of things closed on Sunday and Monday. Buster the dog was friendly as well. The bed was awesome!

This place is excellent. It has a wonderful mixture of old, historic details but is well-appointed with modern amenities. We timed it wrong for visiting this town on Sunday and Monday, because the restaurant and much of the town is closed down both of these days. The service in the hotel was good enough, accommodating without being overly attentive. Our... More

My wife and I are small business owners with less than 12 employees. We started an annual business retreat a few years ago because we have 3 offices that are spread throughout Virginia. My wife and I have stayed at the Craddock Terry before and wanted to share the experience with our staff. So I made room reservations with Jessica... More

The hotel is a converted shoe factory and as such, it has some interesting touches. Staff very attentive, restaurant and bar excellent. My only problem is with the room décor. Room quite dark and lighting was not adequate. Bedcovering very dark and heavy as well as drapes and carpeting. I tend to like a cleaner look. Also if you are... More

Booked one night for a half marathon in Lynchburg - evaluated the options in town and the Craddock Terry stood out .. yet never having visited the area, was worried the photos were better than the property as can easily be the case. Not so with the Craddock Terry .. building stands out when you enter Lynchburg .. room exceeded... More

A most unpleasant situation. After making a reservation for two rooms for out-of-town guests, I had to confirm the reservation three times. I felt that I was being harassed and that they wanted me to cancel. In addition, I indicated that I wanted to pick up the charges rather than have my guests pay. Despite making this clear three times,... More

A mid-July overnight stay - a birthday treat for a family member - was delightful, from check-in to check-out. As a meeting planner I was curious about the conversion from historic industrial shoe factory and nearby tobacco-processing plant to boutique hotel and event center. The end result is outstanding, paying tribute to the property's origins yet maintaining a low-key elegance... More
