We stayed for a spur of the moment get-away. My husband found the lodge while looking for a pet-friendly hotel. What a wonderful surprise. As mentioned in the other reviews, it's centrally located in Lynchburg. Staff is very friendly and work hard to make their guest's stay a comfortable one. The lodge is pet-friendly too with a minimum pet-fee. Our... more

We enjoyed our month long stay at Acorn Hill while we were waiting to move into our new home. Wanda, Robert and Sherry and the rest of the Staff were very attentive to our needs. Acorn Hill is very much in tune with the way the European Bread and Breakfasts are operated. the Lobby is just beautiful with a grand... more

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and while we just stayed one night, it was wonderful! We stayed in the VIP suite, which was enormous and definitely worth the price. The room was clean and cozy and we felt like royalty. It was private, but not empty feeling and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We... more

The suite that we were placed in was clean and a reasonable enough rate at $125 a night. The problem is that service was almost nonexistent. Breakfast was less good than the average Hampton and we were expected to pretty much shift for ourselves, since the owners were occupied with other things. There were no phones in rooms and the... more

Wanda and Robert couldn't be better innkeepers. The perfect amount of conversation and privacy. The rooms were a perfect place to relax with all the comforts of home. We were visiting my son at Lynchburg College for the holiday weekend. It's less than a mile from the college. It was great to bring him "home" out of the dorm to... more

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Acorn Hill Lodge is directly in the center of Lynchburg, accessible to shopping, historical sites, medical facilities and everything in the city. Whether you are in town for medical treatments or visits, shopping, taking advantage of historical sites, or simply want a retreat from it all, this is a great stop. The fall foilage... more

My family and I were visiting a medical facitily in Lynchburg . The Acorn Hill Lodge was recommended as a place to stay. We were not familiar with the bed and breakfast scenario, but it was a perfect place for us. The facility was beautiful and the owners were so helpful and nice. We arrived late and Cathy was there... more

I was overwhelmed at how nice my room was at the Acorn Hill Lodge. It was a perfect place in that it was comfortable, quiet, relaxing, economical, and had a great balcony to watch the sun set. The owners, Robert and Wanda, were very friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend this place to anyone. more

My daughter will be attending a nearby college in the fall, and I spent a night here while she was at freshman orientation. I had booked a standard room but was upgraded to a perfectly lovely suite. My room was airy, spacious, clean and had a full kitchen. The wrap-around porch was great, and the setting is quiet and relaxing.... more

We visited the Acorn Hill Lodge this weekend. We made the trip to Lynchburg for a wedding take place in a town nearby. The lodge is simply stunning and our room was very spacious and clean - with a large bathroom and a kitchen in the room. The wrap around porch is stunning and is great to sit out on... more
