Very spacious room (no. 4) with balcony. Perfect stopover spot driving through Lynchburg from West Virginia to North Carolina. Very kind managers who live on the property and keep a family of very sweet white ducks. Forget the Peabody! Watch the duck parade every morning and afternoon at Acorn Hill! Very kind service at breakfast. Shower was temperamental at first... More

On our journey through eastern North Carolina in search of a retirement home, my husband and I stayed here at Acorn with our dog, Maggie. The staff is so friendly and helpful and made our stay relaxed and peaceful...just as we wish our retirement years to be! The staff is amazingly dog friendly and the food and service at the Bistro... More

We came here for a wedding with a small pet. There were many nice features including a bathroom night light, a large selection of t.v stations, a place for towels and robe convenient to the shower, a friendly staff, a great breakfast included, fair meal prices, a quiet location and a clean and spacious room. However, the sheets were ripped... More

We highly value your feedback and extend our deepest apologies for this experience. We were unaware of this situation but rest assured actions have been taken to prevent recurrence. Unfortunately, we had a washer which was ruining some of our linens. We hope to see you again in the future should your needs dictate. More

A beautiful little gem in the woods outside of Lynchburg,VA the Acorn Hill Lodge offers large suite rooms with excellent bedding, kitchenettes, whirlpool tubs, flat screen TVs and a quiet, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Slept well and enjoyed the accompanying breakfast. All amenities offered. Great rates, excellent value and very clean. Very comfortable!

Wow. We were spoiled here! We lucked-out and got a last minute booking in room 5 at this beautiful property. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. The room and the balcony was stunning! Everything was spotlessly clean and of top quality. The breakfast was excellent and served off a menu in their bistro downstairs. And for the price we... More

My cousin and I were finishing a trip around the mountains of Virginia and went to Appomattox and then wanted to see Poplar Forest, so by accident I found this combination hotel, B and B on the internet. It did not disappoint. Family owned and operated, the owner couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed chatting with him and even ordered... More

After searching for a place to stay for just one night while we visited Liberty University, I stumbled on this listing. For about the same amount of money as the chain hotels, this was available. What a great change of pace. As soon as I saw the lobby with the piano and the staircase I just wanted to scope out... More

The Acorn Hill is a nice hotel, but not a B&B. No shared living space, no friendly host to answer your questions and no wonderful home-made breakfast included. They do have nice spacious rooms. Ours was painted a cheery yellow with a king size bed, 2 comfy leather lazy boy type recliners, table & 4 chairs, roomy kitchenette and nice... More

What a sweet find in Lynchburg we stumbled upon and is now one of our favorite B&B. Enjoyed our first stay so much that we came back again to be given an encore red carpet treatment. Loved the spacious room with the huge bathroom and the most comfortable bed that we never wanted to get out of. The family pets... More

OMG! Where do I start? Beautifully appointed rooms (I stayed in the VIP Suite. It had a sunken jacuzzi tub), which all feature FULL kitchen areas. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the food is superb. If that isn't enough, go to the Spa for a massage or treatment. I stay in a lot of B&B's, and this... More
