My girlfriend and I stopped in Lynchburg, Va on our way from Huntsville, Al to the attend the Inauguration of Barak Obama in Washington. First, in all honesty I must say, that because of the layout of that area of town with the number of one-way streets and the Lynchburg Expressway (29), the hotel was difficult to find, however once there, I was plesantly surprised by the low cost, cleanliness, decor, and especially the woman who staffed the front desk.

Although we arrived well before the advertised check-in time of 3:00pm, the front desk was more than friendly and allowed us to check-in some 5 hours early. She also went out of her way to mention the historic sites in the area, as well as direct us to Appomatix Couthouse, National Park.

Once inside the room, we were thoughly impressed with a new huge flat-screen TV helping quite-a-bit! Early the next morning, even the maintenance man and house-keeper took the time to say hello!

Overall this is a no-brainer... more
