We stayed for a long weekend and found this B&B to work out well. We wanted something close to the Festy that weekend but not right in the middle of the mayhem. This was close enough but away from the traffic and within reach of other interesting sites and smack dab in the middle of winery heaven. Richard and Deb... More

Wonderful estate with a vineyard, barn, and manicured lawns forever. Richard and Deb were terrific host. They accommodated our late arrival and gave a tour of their lovely home. The rooms were clean and nicely designed. The bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast overlooking the property from the dinning room. If your in the area, this is... More

This is actually long overdue. My boyfriend and I stayed in February 2013 for a weekend away in wine country. This was such a relaxing and fun weekend. We did the add-on wine tour and it was certainly worth the cost. Ron was super knowledgeable in all the wines and every breakfast that Deb made was delicious. We have definitely... More

Apple Blossom Farm House is in a perfect location to see the beautiful Virginia hills. It's close to hiking the Crabtree Falls and try a few of the breweries. The room was comfortable and very relaxing. While not a B&B, it certainly has the feel of one. The owners go to great lengths to make your stay very comfortable without... More

My husband and I stayed in the York room, very spacious and it included a bathroom. Breaksfast was pretty good. Clean rooms and very friendy owners. We also paid for the 4 vineyard tours, that was a lot of fun and Richard (tour guide) was very knowledgeable. The local vineyards were friendly, clean and very pretty, decent wines as well.

On a Wednesday night, my wife was trying to plan a last minute road trip, for that Saturday and Sunday, to see Waltons Mountain, tour a couple of wineries, and drive back via Skyline drive. I am not sure why she picked this place, but was disappointed when the online system required a 2 night stay, and we only needed... More

My (now) husband and I stayed at the Orchard House for our wedding weekend. It was wonderful! Deb and Richard were so kind and welcoming, and because we were the only ones staying in the house, they upgraded our room for free. The house itself is charming, and so relaxing. We enjoyed swimming in the pool in the afternoon and... More

What a delightful place to stay! Deb and Richard were great host/hostess and gave us good information about the area, etc. I just loved the front porch and would have used it more but rain and wedding activities were in the way. I definitely would recommend the Orchard House to my friends and we hope to visit again. Thanks for... More

Great place to stay, hosts Richard and Deb were extremely helpful and attentive. Rooms were great and lots of extra detail has gone into them. The house is comfortable and the front porch is a great place to relax in the evening. Breakfasts were imaginative but not quite to my English taste! For me some sides of cereal or toast... More

Thanks for your response. We really enjoyed visiting with you and your friends. Sorry you were disappointed in the absence of cereal and toast at breakfast. Had you asked, we would have been happy to accommodate. For our first few years we always had cereal on the sideboard but because we fix such large breakfast's, no one ever ate it... More

There is a vineyard on site, and Richard, the host, offers illuminating and fun info about grape-growing, making & drinking wine. The owners' recommendations re things to do were spot-on. (check out Bold Rock cidery nearby). Warmth and interest in their guests' satisfaction were obvious in Richard and Deb. Breakfasts were sensational, especially the Croissant-Apple French toast, puffed and crusty... More
