Read reviews prior to booking and was pleased to see how true they were. My companion commented on room being clean and fresh smelling immediately upon entering, more so than many other places visited. Resident manager very pleasant and helpful, offering dining advice and anything to make our stay pleasant. No frills so bring your own shampoo and hair dryer.... More

Stayed here since it is the only place between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. Owners were very nice and welcoming. Check in was a breeze. Parking is directly in front of the room which was nice. The room was not fancy but very clean and smelled nice considering it was a smoking room. If you are not looking to spend a lot... More

Loved our 2 nights here - not a fancy pricey place - very inexpensive but clean, quiet, and a hairdryer from the office. Art mural painted on to the wall of the bedroom was a nice touch. Friendly local owners. Not much to do in Lovingston, but be sure to eat at the Lovingston Cafe - good food, family owned.... More

Our room didn't have a refrigerator or microwave but they do have rooms available with them. So if you want one I would recommend you request it when you make your reservations. Also there are not any hairdryers or coffee makers in the room but they do have coffee in the office. It is VERY CLEAN and smells fresh. Not... More

We were passing through Lovingston and needed a nice, comfortable place to stay for the night. We got a great deal online. I read other reviews and they were right. Although the rooms are dated (I liked the murals) the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The front desk was helpful with finding somewhere for dinner. Actually there is... More

The Village Inn is a no-frills motel located in between two scenic vistas. Everything is extremely clean, and staff is friendly and helpful. The room is pretty dated as far as decor, but it's quaint and cozy. The bed is really firm, but the mattress was covered and clean. We slept soundly, as we couldn't hear anyone in the adjacent... If you're looking for an inexpensive, BUT CLEAN place to lay your head down at night, then you can't go wrong here ! Sam (owner) is so nice, spotless rooms, and great value! The picture is deceiving, it's actually a quaint, little, well taken care of motel with around 30 rooms. Sam's wife cleans the rooms, so you can be... More

We have stayed at The Village Inn multiple times over the past 3 years. The owners are so nice and accommodating. You will not find cleaner rooms anywhere, not even large, chain hotels. If you want a clean, quiet room, this is your place. While there aren't fancy amenities, you will be comfortable. )If you want a delicious meal during... More

This motel gets an 'excellent' for being excellent at what it offers (lol), which is not much! Well...this is a little country town. Not much of anything there at all. I went with a friend to a birthday party for one of her elderly aunts. So you wont find many places to stay anyway. The room was small but very... More

My teenage son and I were attending a track meet in Lynchburg and encountered more snow than expected on our travel home. We stopped at Foodlion and spoke to Linda. She assured me that the hotel was nice, and often used when she and the other employees were snowed in. She went even further and made a phone call for... More
