Beware!!! My husband and I were very excited about staying at the Prospect Hill Plantation. We arrived and left the bed and breakfast at 10:30 pm because the cabin we were staying in was dirty and we were concerned about the fire safety of the facilities. The cabin was built in the 1700s and we understood that when we requested... More

Visited on a rainy January weekend. We could not walk the grounds. We stayed in the Overseers Cottage, 1720. Very comfortable, working fireplace. Dry wood provided. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good base for visits to area wineries.

Took advantage of the grand getaway special in early January 2016. Had a most memorable weekend with my wife of 20 years! What we enjoyed most were the personal touches; the personal greeting upon arrival and the entire staff was aware it was our anniversary. What really impressed me was our waiter James overheard us discuss the wine at dinner... More

I took my 3 year old Granddaughter to have Breakfast with Santa and everything from the breakfast (which was wonderful!) to the visit with St. Nicholas, to the crafts the little ones did, to the cookies they decorated was really special! She loved the entire morning and so did we! The Inn was decorated with a collection of Nutcrackers and... More

Prospect Hill is a fantastic Inn. The main house has been built and added to over the centuries, resulting in a treasure of interesting rooms, beautiful details and charming nooks. The property is located on many acres of privacy and forests. The out buildings (stables, carriage house, kitchen and Uncle Guy's Cabin to name a few) have been converted into... More

Feeling the urge you to "stop and smell the flowers?" This Inn, its property, food, hosts, accommodations all merge seamlessly allowing you to do just that. Chairs and benches scattered throughout the property invite you to linger at the loveliness all around. Take a short hike in the property's wooded area, watch the free range chickens wander, sit and absorb... More

My husband surprised me with on our first anniversary by taking me here. I was totally off guard and the whole experience was breathtaking. Upon arrival, I loved the row of spruce trees....I think they are spruce....along the brick road. I immediately saw cute little houses around a larger main one. We stayed in the carriage house. It was quaint... More

Everything about our stay was wonderful, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic! Such a lovely place to go for a special treat. Percy, the server in the dining room couldn't have been nicer, Rachel, our "hostess" was super nice and fun to chat with. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive. We stayed in the carriage house-what a... More

Relaxing atmosphere, charming accommodations, friendly hosts and great food! We loved staying in one of the cabins. The bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in. The vast grounds made for relaxing walks and unexpected discoveries; whether, it be chickens, alpaca, another guest cabin or a simple seating area with plaques stating historic facts about the property. My... More

Shabby, outdated inn. Employees were too young and inexperienced to have any kind of customer service skills. Owner Paula wore an inappropriately short skirt as she checked us in - could practically see her privates. Not that this is an attraction of the site. Definitely not.
