If you need a getaway from the hustle and bustle of DC this is your place. Very relaxing, lots of outdoor seating/hamocks/tree swing/gazebo. I went on a walk and everything was pleasant and quiet, very beautiful. I stayed in the Uncle Guy's House, decorated in an African theme, it felt modern but still cozy cabiny with a nice jacuzzi tub.... More

I can not begin to say enough nice things about Prospect Hill Plantation Inn. I have stayed with them probably 5 times in the past 6 months trying out their different cabins. They are all so very lovely, I am not sure which one is my favorite! The staff is incredible, they remember who you are and your preferences and... More

This is an absolutely beautiful property, our room was one of the small cottages around the main house. it was perfect, quiet, relaxing, and wonderful. We had the dinner in the main house, it was beyond expectations, perfectly cooked and served with a wonderful red wine from the vineyards at Monticello. The staff was warm, and very friendly. We would... More

From the moment you arrive until the time the leave, you are treated as a special guest at this comfortable bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Overseeers Cottage, one of several original buildings on the forty acre property. It had a very comfortable king size bed and a little parlor with a sofa and chair. There were nice amenities... More

Highly professional, as well as warm, staff. Stayed in a cottage with children and all family members were happy during the entire length of our stay. Plenty for kids to enjoy: nice pool, wide open spaces, basketball, animals to view and pet, etc. Very nice breakfast served in a charming room, with special meal requests for children taken into consideration.... First let me suggest you stay more than one night at this lovely B & B. Here's why: Crickets lull you to sleep, stars unlike the ones you experience in the City, time to swing in a hammock under the centuries ole trees, the dogs and cats will know you and add so much joy to your day!!! Walk around the... More

If you like old houses with their charm and imperfection, and kind of smell of old house this is place to go. The property itself is big and you have very lovely place to relax outside. Be aware of their 3 big dogs, running outside. Dogs are pretty friendly. How I said the house is very old and you can... More

Our group had an outstanding wedding celebration at Prospect Hill. The host, Doc, was most helpful, informative and really did a great job with setting up the rooms and dinner for the guests. We loved the old historical buildings, rooms and grounds, and appreciated the updated amenities. Dinner and breakfast were flawless, everyone liked it and would hope to return... More

We booked a last minute getaway for an anniversary celebration. The plantation house and grounds were picturesque and full of history, with the plantation dating back to the 1700's. We were greeted by the owner, Doc, and immediately felt at home. Our room was comfortable and had several extras including a jacuzzi, a refrigerator with complimentary champagne, sodas, and water.... This is a lovely B&B on the site of an old plantation. We stayed in Uncle Guy's Loft - a small room in one of the out-buildings on the property. It was a nice, cozy room for my wife and me to relax. The bathroom was very cramped, but usable - our only complaint was that the window right next... More
