My husband and I stayed here in the Washington Cottage. We had a few questions the website didn't answer so the day after we booked our cottage online we tried to call. It was the day we were supposed to check in and we both called several times on the way to Orange, Va and left messages and none of... More

This was a great experience. Sleeping in a historic home that was frequented by Thomas Jefferson, and being served by gourmet chefs - you can't beat it! Also, the grounds are beautiful, and it is close to Montpelier, the home of James Madison, which is also well worth a visit.

We stayed here last weekend in the Jefferson suite. Room was very large. If you want to enjoy the charm of a 1700's era plantation, this is a place to go. It was quiet and scenic and had great outdoors seating areas to set back and enjoy God's creation. If you want to go to the Ritz Carlton for up... More

As someone who has worked in country inns and travels a lot, this property is in need of a makeover. I was totally surprised when we arrived at the property and took a look at the rooms, and grounds after first checking out the other reviews on-line. This was an anniversary trip for my husband and I and I specifically... More

We stayed at the Inn at Meander Plantation over 4th of July weekend. We were beyond impressed with the property, the owners and the food. We stayed in the "Old Summer Kitchen" room, which i would actually describe as a small cottage. It has a nice cozy living room area downstairs and a nice large bedroom upstairs. The room has... I had been here twice before, including bringing my parents and whole family (including siblings and spouses) to celebrate my parents special wedding anniversary a number of years ago. It has always been wonderful. On this visit, my partner and I came for what turned out to be a very lovely and special weekend. The breakfasts were great. Our room,... More

We just went for dinner! We arrived a little early, so we sat on the porch and enjoyed the lovely evening. The decor is nifty and interesting without being stuffy - I enjoyed looking at their cook books, antique furniture and beautiful dinnerware! It was so tempting to fill up on the home made bread with butter! My filet was... More

This historic Inn sits on 80 acres of lush rolling hills and fields with a mountain view. Lovely gardens and porches to relax on and enjoy the scenery. Beautifully furnished with delicious gourmet breakfast. Dinner was required for one night and was delightful. The room was very comfortable and there is no tv to be found. So refreshing and relaxing!

If you need high tea and a chatty host, this isn't the B&B for you, however if you want all the comforts of home that "beams you up and back" to the 1700's, then you found you place to relax, unwind, and even get some work done on free Wifi. We were greeted by Suzanne , the manager and she... More
