Based upon many "glowing reviews" we selected Meander Plantation as an anniversary celebration getaway. We found it quite disappointing. The food was outstanding, both breakfast and the "REQUIRED" dinner reservation (which seemed a little strange) but the place is getting "a little tired" and was in need of some general maintenance and grounds needed a little TLC. Tree branches needed... More

“Frankly Scarlett,” the Inn at Meander Plantation is the best. From the first sight of the Plantation, the history and provenance of this fine old plantation home is almost palpable. I expected to find Mr. Jefferson or General Washington seated in the parlor. The scent of boxwood fills the air as you walk to the entrance. The Inn features true... More

What a great find! Lovely property and location! The owners were more than accommodating in making our reservation and arranging a couple's massage for us during our stay. We greatly enjoyed dinner at the Inn one evening. The pace was just perfect and the food was outstanding! We also enjoyed the optional wine pairings of all Virginia wines! Breakfast was... More

We chose this B&B for birthday celebration getaway and from start to finish our stay was simply amazing!! We selected the Virginia wine package for a two night stay. The grounds and inn was filled with Southern charm and was delightfully peaceful and relaxing!! The food served was also another draw to this place. Everything served was exquisite. We recommend... My husband and I just celebrated another anniversary at this cozy, romantic Inn. Located just south of Culpeper (a nice town with some cute shops and restaurants), it is easy to find. The driveway is a bit long and bumpy, so you need to take it slowly. This historic inn is by no means rundown, but it could use a... More

We just returned today from the B&B. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is preserved superbly. The grounds are beautiful - maintained with taste and pride. Our room (Robinson) was much smaller then shown on the picture, and I am not sure how they made it look so bright on the picture - it has only one small window and... More

We were married at the Meander Inn after booking their "elopement package"... all we had to do was show up, and they provided the officiant, cake, champagne, and beautiful backdrop. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained in a fashion that holds true to the era of the plantation (for example, the brick walkways are a bit uneven). We chose... More

We enjoyed our stay this weekend at The Inn at Meander Plantation. Our room was a little smaller than it appeared in the picture but was very comfortable. My only complaint was the lack of any drawers to unpack your suitcase. We had dinner at the inn on Friday night - the setting, candle light and food made for a... More

We stayed in the Summer Kitchen for a mid week celebration. The hike around the 80 acre grounds and the views from the back of this circa 1760 property are terrific. As you walk through the house and property you are taken by the fact that Jefferson and Washington once did the same and that the view is largely unchanged.... More

We spent two nights at the Inn at Meander, March 28-30, 2014, to celebrate our 16th anniversary. We opted to stay in the Madison Cottage and loved every minute of it. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. The bed had plenty of pillow and the duvet was warm and comfortable. it was a chilly, rainy weekend and it was nice to... More
