We spent only one night at the Magnolia House as we were travelling through Lexington. We wish we would have been able to stay longer!! We always enjoy staying at B&B's because of the personal touch---our stay at the Magnolia House was as good as it gets!! The Innkeepers, Tim and Jan, were very friendly and wonderful hosts. Our room... More

This warm and well appointed B&B welcomed us on a diffcult journey from Tampa by way of Savannah after a family tragedy. The Magnolia Inn with its Victorian era ambiance and furnishings was just what we needed to get away from the road. We stayed in the luxurious Lexington Room and could not have been happier with the accomodations (fabulously... More

My husband and I loved our two night stay at the Magnolia House Inn. It is very well decorated, but not 'stuffy'. We stayed in the Sunshine room - bright and airy. Beautiful linens. Breakfast both mornings was excellent - great tasting and beautifully presented. The Deckers are kind, helpful and gracious hosts. We will stay there again the next... More

My wife and I spent two wonderful days as Guests of Tim and Jan Decker, two experienced Innkeepers. We stayed in the Garden Room which was very large, well kept, and very well decorated. The bathroom was imaculate and very modern. The Queen Sized Bed was comfortable and the decore of the room was to the period. Since it was... More

Date: July 28, 2007 My husband and I could not wait to post our review of the Magnolia House Inn in Lexington, Va. First the town itself is a must see and the Inn is within walking distance. We found ourselves walking to dinner each night to great restaurants. Over the years we have stayed in a number of B... More

We were looking for a romantic getaway to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and found it! WOW, the Magnolia House Inn was just perfect! We were able to choose from a couple of available rooms. The hostess was kind enough to let us look at each and choose our favorite. Each one was unique, immaculate and beautiful decorated. We chose... More

We stayed at the Magnolia House Inn during a busy football weekend. The owners put us in their "suite" and moved into the basement. They said it was the largest room in the Inn. The room was absolutely terrible. The bathroom is tiny and covered in brown rust stains. The room itself is in serious need of TLC, especially paint... More

We regret that the reviewer was disappointed, and we agree about the room's need for attention back in 2006. However, as they mention, it was the personal innkeepers' quarters, not described on our website--and not representative of our rooms in general--and offered only because the reviewers called to ask for a room on a weekend in the fall with high... We visited the Magnolia House a few days before Halloween, very close to the peak foliage color time for this year. The area, the town and the B&B itself were all about as autumn-ish as could be; it was like some kind of movie about college-town America. The B&B is just a few minutes walk from downtown's campuses and quaint... More

It was graduation weekend for our daughter who was living about 2 blocks from the Inn. With 10 family members attending I decided it would be nice to be within walking distance of her apartment and town. The Magnolia Inn seemed a good location and we were able to reserve the entire inn. With more than one person you can... More
