This is a comfortable historic B&B (built 1868) operated by a friendly husband and wife team. The rooms are well appointed with traditional furniture and antiques befitting the buildings historic status. There is plenty of outside seating for summer days and the breakfast...ohhh...the breakfast is delicious. I really enjoyed by time there and would have no hesitation in going back

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Magnolia House Inn. It was everything it should have been: beautiful rooms, fancy breakfast, nice location, friendly and very considerate hosts. I especially enjoyed the "conservatory" off the Shenandoah suite, where I did some writing.

We stayed at the Magnolia House on Saturday, August 2, and had a lovely time. Tim and Jan are excellent hosts and our room was really nice. It was comfortable, clean and pretty. There was a great upstairs porch for guests to use and drinks and snacks provided for guests just inside the porch. We appreciated Tim and Jan's restaurant... More

The Magnolia House Inn was beautiful and quaint. It is in walking distance to town and some very good restaurants. The owners, Jan and Tim, were more than gracious. The breakfasts each morning were the best I have had at any B & B. The rooms were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Magnolia House.

My wife and I sought a B&B via the internet for our first trip to Lexington--and stumbled on a fountain of wonderful experiences. A very gracious and friendly couple, Tim and Jan (the innkeepers) welcomed us warmly yet efficiently, answering questions about local attractions, offering suggestions, and even making dinner reservations for us. Extra touches (such as a jar of... More

We found the Magnolia House Inn to be very warm and inviting. Our room, the Garden Room, was cozy and very comfortable. In the evenings we relaxed in the parlor and read or checked our email using our laptop. Breakfast was great. Our hosts really made an effort to cater to our needs (food allergies) and prepared a fantastic table... More

The black wrought-iron front gate is just wonky enough to let you know you are about to enter a magical space. And the English cottage garden filling every inch between the sidewalk and the house welcomes you with open arms. On the front porch are cozy outdoor couches and chairs, saying "Welcome home." That's how it is at Tim and... More

The Magnolia House Inn in Lexington, Virginia is as sweet as its name -- a lovely old home, run by gracious Inn Keepers, on the main street of a wonderful historic little town. It is an extra bonus that restaurants, shops, several churches and the University of Washington and Lee are within walking distance. Our suite, The Equestrian, had a... More

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Magnolia House Inn. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The innkeepers, Tim and Jan Decker, are wonderful, gracious, conscientious hosts. They were always available if you had any questions or just wanted to talk. The Magnolia House is rich with history and conveniently located only a few blocks from... More

The 1867 Magnolia House is lovely, clean well run and most comfortable. We stayed here for the second time on March 3, 2008. The breakfast was tasty. We will most certainly return. They are within walking distance of VMI and Washington Lee as well as scads of nice shops and dining. Highly recomend a visit. The Taggart Family
