My animal obsessed husband and I visited the B&B for a relaxing weekend away. We stayed in the European room and brought our dog with us. The room was cozy and clean. We would have liked to have a TV in the room b/c we were relaxing in more than going out exploring (though we did venture out each day... More

My wife and I spent her birthday weekend at Applewood Inn. Unique house, great hosts, clean and comfortable room, and delicious breakfast. We stayed at Applewood specifically for the llama trekking, which was really fun! It is basically just going for a leisurely hike and "walking" the llamas. The inn is also close to Lexington and area attractions like the... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the Applewood and had a great experience. Chris and Linda were very laid back and accommodating. When checking us in Chris made sure to ask about any food restrictions or requests. The Llamas were wonderful and you have a great view of them in the morning while you eat breakfast. I appreciated... More

We spent three nights at Applewood during a road trip around East America. It's a wonderful spot, nothing but the trees and the cicadas to keep you company. We stayed in the European Room which gets private access to the hot tub - perfect if you open the porch doors wide and let the cool air in while you relax.... More

We were in the European room so we had the smallest sq footage but our own private screened in porch as well as private hot tub. The tub is very deep and mildly jetted but quite nice. From the hot tub you could open the doors to a patio on the front of the house which was essentially private. We... More

We wanted an out of the way B&B to relax for a few days, And found it. The Quilters room was clean and comfy, with a whirlpool bath. There is a swimming pool, nature trails, and nearby river. It was fun having breakfast with our host's, and the other guests exchanging stories of where we were from, and, where we... More

We spent one night at Applewood, located in the serene and secluded farmlands near Lexington, VA. The innkeepers are wonderful hosts; they gave us a spot-on recommendation for dinner, and cooked a delicious breakfast for us the next morning. They also let us visit with the llamas, which was perhaps the highlight of our stay! We enjoyed the European room... More

The inn was a perfect place to unplug and get away from the city. Nestled amidst rolling hills, the B & B grounds were stunning. We spent hours walking the nature paths, admiring the stunning 360 views of the Shenandoah. The breakfasts were delicious and wholesome and Chris and Linda were excellent hosts. They seemed to strike the perfect balance... More

We were traveling through Lexington on business and selected the Applewood Inn based on Trip Advisor and its location. Upon our arrival we were greeted by our gracious host Chris. He showed us around the property and we were thrilled with the fact it was located a mile off the main road. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed visiting... More

We went to the Applewood Inn Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful time. The owners are very nice and the place is very peaceful. Although we did not specify ahead of time, it was LGBT friendly. The owners, Chris and Linda greeted us when we arrived and were very friendly. The grounds are hilly and you can go into... More
