My wife and I stayed at Llewellyn Lodge over Labor Day weekend for one evening. John, who owns the lodge, could not have been kinder or more hospitable. He was happy to give us suggestions for dining in Lexington and went out of his way to print a map for a nearby hike we planned. Our room was cozy and... More

Brad and I almost felt guilty that we didn't take more advantage of all the enthusiasm and knowledge that innkeeper John had to offer. We just wanted to get away and have some quiet time, not do much. We were able to do that, and appreciated every moment! We particularly liked that this B&B was close in to town and... More

We loved our 8 night stay at Llewellyn Lodge. John lent us his copy of "Motorcycle Journey's Through the Appalachians" and since he has been fishing the rivers and streams of this beautiful country his whole life, he could direct us to the best routes through National Forests and windy-twisty's. Lexington is a perfect base from which to explore the... More

This is by far my best bed and breakfast experience...EVER. We stayed here this past winter and it was an amazing time. The host/owner of the B&B, John, is unbelievably welcoming and sincerely nice. He sat down with us to go over - in great detail - what is was we were interested in seeing within the town. He is... More

When we first met the host John, we knew we had made a great choice in selecting this B&B. John is so welcoming and obliging with his time to make sure you have all the information needed to make your stay in the charming Lexington a lovely one. The B&B is very comfortable. We stayed in a room with a... More

John is a great host, and I would recommend this to folks staying in the Lexington area. It's a great location to walk downtown, too. Very close to Natural Bridge, also has a lot of history in the area. Great pecan waffles!

This was our 4th visit to Lexington, VA, and the 1st time staying at the Llewellyn Lodge. We stayed in Room # 4, and I have never gotten a better night's sleep when staying away from home than I did last night! Our room was very clean and well supplied with just about anything you might need, and I'm sure... More

Perfect!! Llewellyn Lodge was where my roommates and I and our wives stayed for our 15 year reunion at VMI. John's B&B is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well taken care of. We always had clean towels and amenities in our room. The B&B is uptown and quiet but an easy walk to downtown Lexington, W&L, and VMI.... More

We stayed here to be close to Civil War General birth places, and final resting places. I heard our Host John, was very knowledgeable, and the Inn close enough to walk everywhere. Our stay was very comfortable, and the fridge was stocked with refreshments. Breakfast was perfect-I wish I was still there! I forgot something in our room, and John... More

We stayed here while attending a reunion weekend at VMI. John is a great host -- knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was ideal for us, walking distance to town/VMI/W&L, but quiet because it's just a little bit removed. The price seemed reasonable, especially given what you get for... More
