Our stay at Llewellyn Lodge was wonderful. It was very comfortable and charming. This was my son's first experience at a B&B, and he was very pleasantly surprised. John was a wealth of information and extremely helpful with sharing tips about the local area, as well as Washington & Lee. We headed off to our school tour after a fabulous... More

Thanks K, visiting parents find our location which is a 2 minute drive to both Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute admission houses most convenient. Most mornings this time of year we have other parents doing tours and it's always fun hearing them share info at our breakfast table as many are going to the same schools to visit.... More

This was a couple's retreat for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The in-room refrigerator was stocked with soda and water and snacks were left for us, as well. John's breakfast was very tasty. John has a wealth of knowledge about the area and was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, as well. We will definitely be back.

Thanks for the nice comments MD, most of our guests tell us after spending time in Lexington that they found far more things to enjoy here than they thought they would have thought from their original planning. Our website link above will provide lots of thorough info as well, as a native Lexingtonian John tries to keep the site updated... More

My wife and I had a wonderful two night stay at the lodge. Our great experience started well before we arrived - Ellen helped us find a local massage/spa for a couples massage (it was quite good). John is the consummate host, local activity guide and conscierge (great dinner suggestions and he was kind enough to call and make our... More

DcDave, Thanks so much, we are so glad you had a great time here. The winter has been kind of long here with all the snow and cold and getting back outside is getting more enjoyable with March weather warming up.. We look forward to having you back, we spotted some daffodils popping up today. Events pick up big time in... More

A very good and very solid B and B in this lovely town. Room a bit small but bed excellent and nice convenient ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was also very good and omelettes are a specialty. Reasonable rate and parking is no problem.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed our smallest room. Not everyone wants to spend an arm and a leg these days and this room has been a favorite for certain economy seeking guests for almost 30 years. The Kingsdown brand bedding is the same used in some of the 5 star lodging facilities which I can furnish for... More

First time vacationing in the south truly defined what is meant by "southern hospitality". John was a wonderful host who was more than willing to share his deep knowledge of the area. The food was delicious and I looked forward to breakfast each day. The house was spotless and charming located on main st within walking distance to all downtown... More

John is very helpful and a wonderful host. He helped us find things to do around town and had great recommendations for restaurants. The house and room were clean and quaint. The atmosphere was friendly and the people were charming! The breakfast was delicious - well-prepared and fresh! We have stayed with John and Ellen twice and enjoyed both stays... More

Took a 2-night stay in the Lodge. Our host John went out of his way to get us a nicer room than what we had reserved. Down-filled mattresses and warm comforters kept us well-rested for next day's adventures exploring historical sites as part of our package. His local knowledge proved helpful and the package tour guide 'Doc' took us on... More

We loved our three night stay in this jewel of an inn located just a few blocks from downtown Lexington. Innkeeper John was welcoming and enthusiastic - a perfect host. The breakfast spread was delicious. The grounds are well kept and the inn is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We are already planning our next stay!

A country styled estate that welcomes you with southern charm and warmth! Owners were extremely gracious and appreciated having our business. They were accommodating and more than willing to go beyond the role of a normal hotel in making sure that guests were comfortable. Rooms feature a light country decor and meals were made to order every morning by John... More
