We came for a 'last hurrah of our honeymoon' weekend. Everything about this inn and the family that run it is nothing but phenomenal. As we approached the inn, we decided right there that we would return. It is a beautiful location, even in the middle of winter. We felt extremely welcome at all times and enjoyed getting to know... Just rocking away on the large front porch or hiking over the 6 miles of trails you can see mountainous vistas and smell the freshness of the country air. Bring warm clothing in the winter and boots for hiking any time of the year. Bring an appetite too, because you will be well fed.

My husband and I were looking for a getaway from everything for a few days and this was absolutely it!! From the views to the food and the staff and the accomodations who could ask for more! Very private, quiet and just a great place to relax from the everyday stress. WE stayed in Big House Mountain and everything about... More

The house Mountain Inn is very nice and we had a really relaxing time on our visit. The Inn is very clean and has great views all around. The only things that I would say they could change to make things better are the following: The Inn hosts events on the weekends, such as rehearsal dinners, class reunion parties, etc.... More

We stayed at House Mountain Inn on Labor Day weekend in the Little House Mountain room. House Mountain Inn is by far the most impressive B&B we have ever seen in terms of sheer size and location. It's a giant house built nearly 2000 feet up in the western Virginia mountains. The drive is quite awe-inspiring all the way up... More

My sister and her fiance chose this location for their wedding and its clear to me why. This bed & breakfast is a beautiful 4-year-old building set on 1300 acres in the Shenandoah mountains. More important, the brother-sister team that run it with their spouses could not have been more professional and the food they cooked for breakfast and dinner... More

We just spent two nights at the House Mountain Inn and are already looking forward to returning. We were looking for a quiet get-away from our current remodeling project and this was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful without being overly so. The family was on vacation but the fill-in staff was great. David made some muffins that were... More

I have nothing negative to say about the stay at the Inn. The only bad thing was we didnt stay there long enough! Tim & Jamie's hospitality is second to none! the lodge is huge the rooms are big. Hot tubs on the deck is great along with the spacious bathrooms. The chef 's food is awesome even through a... More

Spent last weekend at House Mountain. Could not have asked for better lodging, scenery, food and attention. Each room is unique; our room had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Some have hot tub on balconey. Rooms and bathrooms on first floor are spacious and wheelchair accessible. The view of mountains takes your breath away but the best... More
