We were passing through the area and decided to stop for dinner at this Inn. We had a great meal and simply decided to call it a night and stay at the Inn. Fun stay! It is not a chain hotel. Think of it as more of a very upscale B&B. The room was spacious (twice the size of a... More

This is a small 12 room inn located in the heart of Lexington. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and also W&L and VMI. There is free parking steps from the entrance and you place a plastic orange cone in the spot whenever you leave to "save" your spot. There is no lobby to speak of and rooms are located on... More

I stayed at the Sheridan Livery Inn for one night and had the continental breakfast. This is an old restored inn in the center of Lexington. There's parking in the back with spaces numbered by rooms, but I was told to park anywhere because the inn was not full. The rooms are very large, with a desk, mini-fridge, cable TV,... More

An old-fashioned inn run by a lovely couple. Pleasant rooms and an adequate restaurant (with an outdoor section, which is unusual in Lexington) right smack in the middle of one of America's most charming villages. This evening we took a twilight stroll across the almost deserted campus of Washington and Lee, one block from the inn, and stood for a... More

We usually stay at the Hampton Inn Col Alto. It isn't smack dap in the middle of Lexington, but the difference is negligible. We tried the Sheridan Livery expecting maybe an old town Lexington feel. The room was definitely nice, clean and comfortable. We got in late so they left the key out for us which was also great. Maybe... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at this restored B&B. The rooms were large, very clean, nice linens and comfortable beds. The husband and wife owners were very friendly and provided information on Lexington and the surrounding area. The property has an attached restaurant that serves full meals (breakfast is included for guests) that are delicious and reasonably... More

Traveling from Massachusetts to Florida wanted to stay around Lexington VA; made reservations in advance for a good hotel. The directions to the hotel somehow wrongly sent us to the door Sheridan Livery and it was good fate! Nice big broom, mattress and bedding was over-the-top for the price paid, free continental breakfast and a quaint, wonderful dining room -... More

This Inn has the look of a bed and breakfast, but the privacy and convenience of a very nice hotel. For us it was just the right mix. The room we stayed in (#10) was spacious and very comfortable. We wanted to stay in the historic area of Lexington, and the rate was comporable to chain hotels near the interstate.... More

We stayed for one night whilst travelling down the skyline/blue ridge parkway. We found the inn after the recommended one in our guide book was closed, and were given a very large room. It was clean, had wifi, free breakfast, good shower and a good location close to the nice restaurants in town. The only negative for us was that... More

My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving. It was just what we wanted! The inn was clean and the staff friendly. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds on which I have ever slept and the location of the hotel was perfect, right in downtown Lexington! This might not be as "fancy" as some of the bed...
