The old wordly house is situated off the beaten track and has some great views overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, I spent hours just looking at them. It is so quiet and peacful. We just returned from a 3 day visit to Lexington with another couple. Both our sons were attending the 2 day overnight orientation at VMI. Sue and Bernie were delightful hosts. Both our sons are still raving over Bernie's scrambled eggs! Their B&B is very comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The views were fantastic. Wish we could... More

Riders' Rest has achieved a wonderful distinction---a getaway for a romantic vacation with a completely "unstuffy" atmosphere. My husband was initially unsure about going to a B & B because he was certain we'd have to dress up and he'd be uncomfortable.
