If you're visiting the National Conference Center to vacation, you will likely be disappointed. However, if your visiting the conference center for business related venues, you should be thrilled to find that this place gives you plenty of room to stretch out and relax as you brain storm your next invention! Yes, the conference center is old, and there are... More

The National Conference Center is not a hotel or a "conference center" in the traditional sense. It's more like a large college dormitory with classrooms and a dining hall. It makes no pretentions to being anything else. The rooms are little cells, tiny and spartan to the max. Beds are surprisingly comfortable, but there is little in the way of... More

I go here for training a few times a year. The facility is very large and you really do need the map they give you to find your way around. They are undergoing some much needed renovations to the dining facility and the lounge area. The rooms are Spartan and remind me of very old college dorm rooms. The facility... More

Thank you, Jag, for your positive review. We feel that our grounds are certainly a hidden gem, so thank you for mentioning that. We are in the midst of several renovations. The Black Olive lounge will reopen March 17 with new menus and décor. And the new Guest Dining Room will re-open mid-April, along with demonstration cooking and table service.... More

Went here for an event I was attending and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. My friends and I looked at it as an adventure! The center is very large and some what confusing to get around but they do give you a map to help get around! The place is so big they have... More

Kristina: Gosh, thanks for the upbeat review. The National has a 40 year history of being the top training facility in the country. We know what we are and we know we do it well. So we were delighted that you were surprised. I will pass on your great comments about the friendly staff and meals. We do know it... More

The National Conference Center is a huge (really- HUGE) conference and training center. Its NOT a hotel, by most people's definition of a hotel, and can't fairly be judged as one. Its very "institutional" in its construction, operation and ambience. They provide good, institutional service but nothing like a hotel. The cafeteria provides good, institutional meals, but nothing like a... More

Triaero: Thank you for your comments; Yes, you are right. The National is a huge facility geared 100% toward meetings and training events. If that was not communicated to you in your materials, we do understand how you would be confused when you arrived. We are not a hotel and we know it can be difficult to find your way... More

The National Conference Center has excellent amenities for a large team meeting or conference. Perfect for working sessions with large groups and special accommodations included! Special for Corporate events. Good service too. Located near the airport and has transfers included in the service.

If you are reading this review, chances are your company/department etc has chosen to do a training event at this location. I had heard about the NCC years before I went there and it filled me with dread. I cna say that it's not as bad as some people make out. It's not a 5 star resort, but it's not... More

It's hard to call this place much more than a dormitory, and a worn out one at that. I had issues with my toilet the entire time I was there. They did attempt to fix it the first day I was there, but the repair only slowed down the leak. The shower light/fan combo went out the next day, the... More

I rarely write negative reviews but feel that one is warranted in regard to this property. If you are contemplating a stay at this location, it is likely that it is part of a company retreat or other organized meeting; thus, you may have no choice but to attend. With that in mind, I offer the following review. This is... More

I stayed here recently for a grant review along with the previous reviewers and discovered a new low in American hospitality. The conference center is 15-20 miles from Dulles Airport so not convenient. They offer a shuttle for $20 but pay close attention to the time they've scheduled your pick up because there's a good chance they will plan to... More
