I stayed here for 5 nights on business. I understand Xerox built this property some years ago with the intention of using it (and maybe they did, not sure) as their global training facility. Pros: -Delicious food -Attentive staff -Enormous facility. From a small meeting to a large wedding, I think the size of this place would enable it to... More

Just spent a week here for some job training. NCC has everything you need for the stay. Solid food with good quality choices and lots of variety. The newly renovated bar is a great place to socialize and catch a game. All the meeting rooms are set up to meet your needs, and the staff does a great job making... More

This location is great for a conference but the rooms are glorified college dorm rooms. It had all the basics but that was about it. The food was fine and was just like standard hotel food. Most of our group called it the compound and that was pretty much an accurate description.

Hi BobbyGHollywood. Every review is important to every staff person here at The National. We’re not sure which training session you were attending, but The National is a large facility developed specifically for training and meeting purposes. . The size of the rooms were specifically designed to encourage attendees to spend time outside of their rooms in the common areas... More

Had a sales training at the national conference centre. Although the facilities include everything you technically need for a conference, the place is quite old and smells like hospital. The rooms were tiny and could barely fit one person. The food was decent although we had an issue one night with having a vegan option, however that was quickly rectified... More

First off, I highly recommend reading Wikipedia for a history on this facility and how and why it is the way it is -- confusing layout and stark concrete architecture. The Conference Center was renovated about 12 years ago, but most of the money went into the main reception and conference area. The rooms are very small (think cruise ship... More

Thank you, Brian, for taking time to post a review. The National does have a 40 year history as a training facility; that’s one of the reasons we’re so successful at this business model. We pride ourselves on having a distraction free facility, with the staff and technology to successfully execute any type of meeting or event. To clarify your... More

The National Conference Center is not a hotel or a "conference center" in the traditional sense. It's more like a large college dormitory with classrooms and a dining hall. It makes no pretentions to being anything else. The rooms are little cells, tiny and spartan to the max. Beds are surprisingly comfortable, but there is little in the way of... More

Thank you, Pricelinetraveler, for taking time to give us your opinion of The National Conference Center. Yes, we agree; we are a very large training and meeting facility with a focus on productive meetings in a learning environment. We are a conference center, but so much more. With 250 meeting rooms, our clients find the variety of space is better... More

I go here for training a few times a year. The facility is very large and you really do need the map they give you to find your way around. They are undergoing some much needed renovations to the dining facility and the lounge area. The rooms are Spartan and remind me of very old college dorm rooms. The facility... More

Thank you, Jag, for your positive review. We feel that our grounds are certainly a hidden gem, so thank you for mentioning that. We are in the midst of several renovations. The Black Olive lounge will reopen March 17 with new menus and décor. And the new Guest Dining Room will re-open mid-April, along with demonstration cooking and table service.... More

The National Conference Center is a huge (really- HUGE) conference and training center. Its NOT a hotel, by most people's definition of a hotel, and can't fairly be judged as one. Its very "institutional" in its construction, operation and ambience. They provide good, institutional service but nothing like a hotel. The cafeteria provides good, institutional meals, but nothing like a... More

Triaero: Thank you for your comments; Yes, you are right. The National is a huge facility geared 100% toward meetings and training events.
