Dave and Nan are national treasures hidden away in a quiet corner of Southern Virginia. They offer hospitality and meals beyond descrption in peaceful antebellum surroundings. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate. The house, rooms, and cottages are like living in a friendly museum for a few days. Always something to look at, explore, or you can just plain veg-out.... more

What a wonderful place to relax! Nan and Dave were fabulous hosts...knowing our needs and desires. Our weekend was all about getting our scuba certification., but quickly turned into a nice, relaxing vacation. Dinner is a must!! (Make sure you save room for dessert!!) And breakfast is absolutely not to be missed...Dave and Nan are awesome cooks! Everything is homemade!... more

We loved this place! The innkeepers are fabulous, the grounds are blissfully peaceful and beautiful, the food was hearty. We stayed in the Hospitality cottage and we look forward to returning. Ther is a two night minimum stay, but we had to leave after one. Although we paid for two nights, Nan gave me gift certificate for one "free" night.... more

I’ve been to this fabulous Inn several times and it gets more and more beautiful each time. The grounds are absolutely perfect. I could stroll the grounds all day long. The home is warm and welcoming as are the Inn Keepers. This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a family gathering or just a vacation away from... more

We had a wonderful time escaping reality before our third son arrives. Nan and Dave were wonderful hosts and great company during our 24 hours away from home. The drive was short enough to be worth it for a one-night stay, but far enough from Raleigh that it truly felt like an escape. While I am sure they appreciate as... more

Spent two nights, one on our way down to North Carolina and one on our way back. The Spears were so hospitable and went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcomed. Arrived late and they graciously held and served our dinner which was fabulous. Breakfast was unbeatable and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean. We traveled... more

My wife and I spent last weekend at the Brunswick Mineral Springs Bed and Breakfast while going through scuba diving certification at Lake Rawlings. The main house is beautiful as was the cabin we stayed in next to the main house. The service we received was first class as were the meals. The owners were very attentive to our needs... more

My husband, Al, and I decided to renew our wedding vows for our 20th anniversary and wanted to include a little getaway for a couple of nights (something we did not do the first time and regretted it). Our "renuptuals" took place at the same time as our wedding on property we own on Lake Gaston - just Al, myself,... more

My husband and I stumbled upon the Brunswick County Mineral Springs B&B by accident, and we are so happy we did! We arrived late, and pulling into the long, tree-lined driveway, we felt as though we were driving into a movie scene! We stayed in the little guest cottage, and we were so cozy and happy. We woke up to... more
