A little tired, a little rumpled around the edges, but as comfortable as a favorite old sweater. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed 2 nights at this wonderful Chesapeake Bay must see. the rooms in the garden house are updated in decor reminiscent of Grand mom’s house but very comfortable. The common areas are nice and in need of updating... More

Tides Inn was a perfect place for our son's rehearsal dinner and for out of town guests to stay over the wedding weekend. We held the buffet dinner in a fun nautical themed room right by the river with water views on three sides. Then we continued the celebration down on a sandy beach with a bonfire and a s'mores... A unique resort. The charm of old, quaint and formal, but could use a facelift. One moment I would be impressed and the next moment, not so much. If you want a "posh" resort but not at a "posh" price and can live with a few short comings, this is the place.

Friends who live in the Northern Neck drove us here for lunch. We were so glad they did. All four of us ordered the crab BLT sandwich with bacon. Superb. Very interesting cole slaw came with it. The service was stunning. Beautify old hotel with a very interesting dining room design with many curves and lots of windows over looking... More

Stayed here on a baby moon. The staff are terrific - friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The room was fine - great bed/linens, but the bathroom was a little worn. We played tennis and the included executive golf course a few times, lounged by the pool and explored the creek. The grounds are lovely - it's a treat to walk around... More

I fell in love with the resort at the Tides Inn. The people the grounds everything was perfect! My husband and I had a wonderful time riding bikes, taking a delightful cruise along Carters Creek and slept at the pool. The service was excellent. We will definitely return to the Tides Inn!

A beautiful hotel with all the extras. Our balcony bedroom was beautiful decorated and very comfortable. Everything you would expect in a five star hotel. There are many activities available and would be a great spot for a wedding, etc. The restaurant's are pricey for the quality food. I ordered a Ceasaer's Salad and it was basically rolled up romaine... More

This review is for the restaurant only. Easter buffet was truly amazing. A feast for the eyes as well as the pallet. Selections varied, generous, and well stocked. Berries, brie, and salads fresh. Sauces flavorful and to the point. The usual meat carving stations (plural) that included lamb. Eggs, pancakes, waffles to order. Vegetables grilled to die for. Parsnips my... More

Beautiful property, especially if one appreciates sailing and golf. Staff is friendly and helpful. We went for a work event. Our 2 queen bed room was well decorated, but no bigger than an average hotel room. There was a nice balcony with views of a bamboo stand and the water. It would have been more enjoyable if in addition to... More

I can see you had a good time and I appreciate the feedback, a missing table is easy to rectify, but where did it go? maybe we should be a bit more careful announcing bar closure so as not to miss anyone. We appreciate feedback and every guest receives communication from me asking for feedback which is a critical tool... More

Family loved this property! Felt like trip back to the 50's. S'mores around a fire, boating, golf, biking, dining....all had a feel of yesteryear. Our room was spacious and the amenities kept my family occupied all weekend. Highly recommend.
