I am a bit tardy in penning this review as we stayed there last fall. It was a lovely, easy getaway from DC--close to several wineries. We enjoyed wandering the grounds and the parlor rooms had a roaring fire, a nice spot to sip on wine and read. I really like Inns and B&Bs that offer dinner--it just makes it... More

This lovely hotel/B&B is located just an hour from Washington DC but feels like a different world. The setting is pastoral and quiet, and there are a variety of winerys nearby and worth checking out. The staff and service were attentive and friendly. Our room, the Wallis is a good size with a nice sitting area and bathroom. The room... More

Everything about Glen Gordon Manor was perfect. The property is GORGEOUS and serene, with views of the country, pastures, and mountains. The main house and cottage are tastefully renovated while keeping the old charm and original character. The owner/host welcomed us when we arrive and immediately gave us a glass of champagne. Our room (the Windsor) was in the cottage... More

My friend recently rented out this manor for a celebration event. I was very pleasantly surprised by this real gem. The couple that own/run this manor, Dayne Smith and Nancy Moon created a welcoming and beautiful Inn. Nancy, who does all the decorating has exquisite style and strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, between old world and new.... More

Four great friends chose this lovely inn for an overnight getaway and enjoyed our stay immensely! We occupied two rooms (called suites, but not really - there are 3 actual suites - named Edward, Albert and Wallis - as in the storied royals - see more below) in the beautiful main house and the 2-story (2 bedroom/2 bath) Wakefield suite...
