Our Son and new Daughter chose the Marriott Ranch in Hume Va. for their recent wedding and we are so glad they did! We also had the rehearsal dinner at the cute little "Western town" on the property, and we stayed in the guest rooms on site. The staff took care of everyone very well and even waiting until the... Once we found the house (don't count on your GPS) we loved the remoteness of the property. so peaceful and quiet! It was just my sister and I along with another couple in this historic building for that evening. There are plenty of pictures and descriptions detailing the history of the building and ranch. Take advantage of evening wine with... More

The house is a wonderful historical building. One gets the sense they are truly guests of the Marriott family on their weekend estate. And that is the truth. Staff here could not be more happy to see you and incredibly accommodating to any needs. Meals were excellent. The tranquility of the location, the quiet, and the beautiful rolling terrain make... We stayed here for four nights to get away from it all, and it definitely fulfilled that goal! Set among rolling hills, cows grazing in open fields, Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, and no sign of city life anywhere, the Marriott Ranch is a peaceful, rural bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were definitely homemade and filling, but not at... More

I just spent four days at the most unbelievable place!! The Marriott Ranch exceeds all expectations. I enjoyed the Western Package with a friend but it was so much more than just riding horses. Bill, Hubie, and our wrangler Rebecca made this experience so much fun while learning at the same time. Kelly Moss was our gracious hostess, seeing to... More

Just returned home after enjoying the Western Vacation experience and I can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations. The surroundings are breathtaking and the accommodations are wonderful and comfortable. Meals are unbelievable - they were able to personalize meal selections with very little notice and each meal was generous and flavorful ... and amazing! Kelley was a gracious host... More

My now husband and I selected the Marriott Ranch for our wedding location in September of 2012 and got married on June 1, 2013. After looking at nearly a dozen other locations, we knew we had found the right spot for our wedding the moment we drove through the picturesque gates of the Ranch. The Black Angus cows even came... This lovely ranch is not for those who want perfect, modern, shiny and everything that goes with that. Rather you get a lovely historic home that is steeped in history, is surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque views, comfortable not austentatious. I would say old money vs. new. Sure, one could make it a show piece...or you could value the... More

Yesterday we had an opportunity to stay at the Marriott Ranch in Hume Va. As we drove up the drive way it is nothing but open area, cows, and the beautiful home. We booked a room and were upgraded due to limited occupancy. We checked in a met Brett who is one of the nicest folks we have ever met.... More

I am not sure if I expected too much or what but it was definitely far from the standard I expected for the name. My previous B&B stay was in Salem with one of the little inns and it was great, so I expected at least a similar standard. My main concern was absence of private bath, I am not... More
