We booked a 2 night stay via Travelzoo and were pleasantly surprised with how great this location was. Our room was in the main house and we were the only main house visitors the first night. One other couple stayed the second night. Upon arrival we were greeted by Andrea who took us on a tour of the house followed... More

If you are looking for something different, this is it. We stayed here for a couple of days and used it as a base to explore the area. The Manor House sits on the top of a hill with lovely views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Although it is surrounded by working farms, that does not hinder your stay one... More

Who knew Marriott had a B&B on a 4,200 acre working cattle ranch! Apparently even Marriott.com isn't aware of this well kept secret. This accidental find (thru mapquest of all places) totally blew me away. Totally pleasant experience staying in this 200 year old estate. The accommodation were traditional to the period yet the bedding was traditional to Marriott. Great... More

We happened upon the Marriott Ranch because we wanted to horseback ride and decided to spend the night. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience with wine and cheese in the afternoon and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Will be returning for the hospitality.

My husband, three sons (6, 11, &13), and I has spent a week in Annapolis (the two older boys attended camp) and I then wanted to head to the countryside for a night or two. However, I didn't want to stay in a hotel and most inns will not allow children. Well a few years ago I read about the... More

We discovered the Marriott Ranch by luck, and had a wonderful experience there. Our suite was comfortable, the hospitality was sensational, our breakfast was yummy, and we can't say enough good things about the innkeeper Bret. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed here on a one day stopover after visiting some wineries in the area and before picking cherries in an orchard nearby and were very happy with almost everything. Best points: guest accommodations are on a huge property with cows, horses and lots of diversions such as shuffleboard, bean bag toss and hiking paths; amenities are great including wine... More

My daughter and I just finished the Western Vacation Package, which really exceeded our expectations. Now these warm country folks really enjoy what they’re doing and it shows in their attitude and demeanor. Exemplary service. On our arrival, we sat in rocking chairs and just took in the beautiful mountain setting, watching the numerous Black Angus cows. We were greeted... More
