We were looking for a place to stay while attending a concert at the Berglund Center in Roanoke. Instead of spending $150 on a regular hotel room in Roanoke we inquired about staying at an RCI resort close by. Mariners Landing was listed as an RCI resort but upon calling we were told they wouldn't be an RCI participant until... More

While the area is nice you are really not close to anything. No staff after hours. Even during the day you rarely see anyone but guests. Bottles and cans thrown around outside the rooms. Restaurant food mediocre at best. Rooms are overpriced. Would not return.

No onsite personnel available after 5pm. 8. 9 times out of 10, no one answers the phone at the hotel. 7. 20 year old televisions and missing remotes. 6. Squeaky ceiling fans. 5. While looking at SMLake real estate, I booked a one night stay at The Pointe mid-week in September. The place was fairly empty, and we arrived "after hours" (7pm) and left "before hours" (8am). The one bedroom condo was clean, but the slightest movement caused the bed to squeak horribly, which made for a disruptive overnight. Since the place isn't... More

We rented a one bedroom one bath condo on the lake. We came for the ACBS show. The room was ver clean and comfortable. Quiet. The pool very nice. The resturant very nice. We did not understand that this was a condo rental and although the staff at the desk were very nice, they did not explain the differences. We... More

Stayed at the Point in a 3BR. We have stayed at Mariners Landing 6+ times over the last 10 years. Sadly, the once nice property is not being managed well. Staff are available only a few hours a day, the restaurant is closed much of the time, We arrived late and picked up our access code from the box near... More

We stayed at The Pointe at Mariners Landing. We rented a 2 bedroom. It was super clean and all we needed was there. The condo building itself was very clean and the grounds pretty. We were there in the off season, so the pool was closed. Our room had very pretty views of the lake. We would definitely rent from... More

The Ponte at Mariner's Landing occupies a pleasant, quiet and peaceful location in one of Smith Mountain Lake's many coves. Guests have access to a small patch of sandy beach with a dock not far from shore where swimmers can sit and sun themselves as well as an inflatable "raft" that our children enjoyed jumping off of into the water.... The hotel is located right on the lake with a view of the Southern mountain range. The view is great, you need to ask for a room with balcony. We stayed in the 3 bedroom condo, there were 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms with full showers, which was nice. The main kitchen has been updated and the condo was decorated with art... More
