Visiting The Homestead the week before Thanksgiving was an experience of perfection. Upon arriving at this gracious hotel set admidst fairytale-like beauty, we were immediately upgraded to a gorgeous room overlooking hundreds of Christmas twinkling lights and an ice rink. What a beautiful hotel! My only complaint was getting a room next to an elevator...make sure to ask when you check in to make sure you are not near it, this is an old building and you can hear the elevator in the shaft, and the old school -ding- will drive you crazy! My sister and I went to The Homestead for a relaxing spa weekend. Our hot stone massage and facial were fabulous. We also had manicure/pedicures done but they were not worth it although the staff was very nice. Our nails chipped by the next day and we did nothing but relax and shop. Still love the Homestead . It was our fifth time. The room rates are much improved. Our suite was absolutely beautiful, cheerful, large and exuded warmth. The staff was extremely genial.
