What a beautiful hotel! My only complaint was getting a room next to an elevator...make sure to ask when you check in to make sure you are not near it, this is an old building and you can hear the elevator in the shaft, and the old school -ding- will drive you crazy! Golf course was great people were great... more

My sister and I went to The Homestead for a relaxing spa weekend. Our hot stone massage and facial were fabulous. We also had manicure/pedicures done but they were not worth it although the staff was very nice. Our nails chipped by the next day and we did nothing but relax and shop. The shops are expensive but are quality... more

Still love the Homestead . It was our fifth time. The room rates are much improved. Our suite was absolutely beautiful, cheerful, large and exuded warmth. The staff was extremely genial. Check in was rather frosty and we were threatened our rate may change if we did not commit to a third day. (We were unsure of length of stay).... more

We stayed at The Homestead during there Unlimited activities fall special. Well worth it! Our Drive up to The Homestead was absolutely breathtaking. When we arrived it was like stepping back in time. The staff at check in was friendly. Even though we arrived early we received our keys for the room and off we went to meet the bellman... more

What a wonderful resort! The grounds are impressive. The hotel is warm & beautiful and we really enjoyed our room (Preferred One Bedroom Suite) with its own screened in porch w/incredible views of the mountains. We stayed for three nights (Sun. - Wed.) and our package included breakfast, dinner and a round of golf per day. The meal package was... more

We took advantage of the Homestead's Fall Unlimited Package and were very pleased with our stay. I was a little nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but overall we had a great time. For the price, our room (a resort preferred) was decent size with a patio with two wicker chairs and a table. However, our pillows were... more

My wife and I recently returned from a 3 night 4 day Mini-Moon stay at the Homestead and it was the perfect retreat from wedding stress and city living caos. As this was our 2nd stay we knew what we were getting ourselves into, and already look forward to our next stay. We booked a Jr. Suite, which we received... more

We loved our stay at the Homestead Owner's Club. The accommodations were beautiful and lush...the scenery amazing, and the property of the Homestead was exquisite, yet fun for the whole family. The kids and we enjoyed bowling (only $12 /person) and a family fun harvest fest on Saturday night. The food in the formal dining room was delicious, and the... more

I find this a very difficult hotel to review. It is in a nice setting but fairly well off the beaten track with not a great deal of interest (for us) in surrounding areas. The hotel looks and is imposing on arrival. The turn-off for me was the Reception staff who were so far up themselves it was untrue. Against... more
