The front desk was speaking to each other and wouldn't acknowledge my arrival, even though I am a Gold Marriott member. I had to call for room service the first full day in residence. The second day, no service at all, no towels, etc. The third night, my daughter across the hall had no service and had to call for... more

Work took our family to Herndon for a month or so and we couldn't have been more pleased with the Marriott Residence Inn. Here are a few of the highlights in no particular order. Spacious rooms with great beds. Fully equipped kitchens to include a dishwasher w/ free soap. Great housekeeping staff who do a tremendous job. 3 big plasmas... more

This hotel has a noise problem, and I would say a lack of security. Townhouse suite is less noisy. There was noise all night in building with studio suite. more

This hotel was so clean it was amazing. Great room for a great price. It had everything and anything you wanted in a hotel room. The only thing I didn't like was the mattress but I will trade that for a clean room any day. This was the best hotel I have stayed at. more

There was confusion with my reservation; the staff thought I was booked for only one night until I showed them my printed itinerary from Expedia. They graciously upgraded me to 2 bed room suite at no charge, although I really didn't need the extra room. Breakfast was nice with good choice of hot and cold foods; Breakfast dining area was... more

There is nothing wrong with this Residence Inn: except that it is too expensive considering the competition. The location is excellent, close to Washington-Dulles (IAD). The hotel is easy to find, and there are excellent shops and restaurants close by. Be sure to go across the street to The Wine Seller, a wine boutique with a good wine selection and... more

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a computer in the front desk you can use if you don't feel like lugging a laptop. Positive: Great location next to trails and shopping. Free parking Great food Security guard was friendly and the rooms all have two lock doors to get by. Negatives: NO pool or hot tube...okay... more

I was doing business in Reston, Va. The front desk was extremely friendly at check-in and throughout my stay. I had issues with my door key several different times and one time they didn't ask me for identification when I got a new key. Evidently there are issues with the door lock system and issues with security at this facility. more

I stay at this hotel at least once a month. I always get a studio suite, and normally only on weekends for which I spend an average of $100/night including taxes. The room is HUGE with a queen bed, pullout queen couch, full kitchen, dressing area, bath. For weekend travellers this is THE place to stay in the Herndon/Reston area.... more
