They have a great breakfast buffet but we did not realize the price was not included with the room. No mention by the desk clerk or service attendent, no sign, no menu. It was set up like dozens of other free breakfasts at major chain motels all summer. The cost was about $30 with tax, tip, and drinks for 2... More

While traveling without my husband, I was leery to stay at a place that was not a chain. I could not have been happier with my stay. The facilities were great with a playground and a pool. They also had a putting green and a few other things. The rooms were clean and the towels were heavenly. I loved the... More

The Village Inn has been here outside of the city of Harrisonburg forever. It's a friendly place that feels like home. The rooms are nice with attention to details and extras. There is a balcony or deck where I sat and watched the fireflies sparkle over the lawn. In the early morn I opened the balcony door. Through the screen... More

Unfortunately we only stayed for a night, passing through VA. It is a very charming motel, and you can tell that it is family owned. The staff are very friendly, the room was very clean, and there were nice little decorating touches that tell you they actually care about their business. On top of that, they are pet-friendly but did... More

I have to admit, my initial feeling on pulling in was that our room would be outdated. Was I ever wrong! The staff here is absolutely lovely, kind and helpful - bar none. The room was spacious, immaculate and came with a jetted tub - who doesn't love that after a long commute? We slept well and comfortably (not crazy... More

I was Harrisonburg with my family to visit friends. So glad our friends recommended we stay here. This motel is on the southern edge of Harrisonburg - close to JMU & I-81 by car. This is not a posh, city hotel, but it is a classic, relaxing motel that appears to be loved by its owners. We had a spacious... More

We stayed at the Village Inn for a wedding. The price was right, the room spacious and clean. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The inn was close to the town of Bridgewater, which was quaint. There were cute shops and the town like a slice of Americana. Would recommend highly.

We enjoy staying at The Village Inn. The Inn is easily accessible from the interstate and is close to the city of Harrisonburg. The rooms are always clean, quiet, and comfortable as well as spacious. We usually get a room with a small deck off the back. There is a pool and on-site restaurant. The breakfast buffet is ample and... More

We enjoy staying here since it is away from the campus/restaurant/shopping traffic of Harrisonburg. Easy and quick ride into the downtown/JMU area. All employees we've encountered have been friendly and helpful. The rooms are some of the most spacious I've seen and best of all, they have always been quiet and clean. Softest hotel towels, ever! It feels very homey... More

Located in countryside. Lovely grounds, etc. We loved the large room which was much larger than most hotel rooms. The breakfast buffet was not included in the room price. We didn't eat breakfast there but a local who recommended the Inn said it was good. The downside was the smell outside. There was a pool and children's play area but... More
