We were in Goshen for a wedding and were delightfully surprised with the accomodations we chose. Though there's not much around in terms of development, the beauty of the surrounding mountains and nature is enough to satisfy. Excellent inn-keepers, room, and grounds! We enjoyed an evening sitting by a warm fire on their outdoor patio by a creek. Best breakfast... more

My wife and I stayed at The Hummingbird Inn in Goshen, Va to celebrate our 25th anniversery. The visit was delightful. An anniversery card from the owners was waiting for us in our room. The grounds were attractive and reflected both good planning and care. The house was historic, well decorated and very clean. The most outstanding part of The... more

The best portion of our September trip through the mountains of VA, WV and NC was our stay at the Hummingbird. In spite of our trip was plagued by bad weather and coming down with a bad cold we had a wonderful time. Our hosts made us feel like house guests of old friends rather than as paying guests. Feeling... more

My first B&B experience, The Hummingbird and its Innkeepers far surpassed anything I was expecting. Filled with history and [literally] surrounded by hummingbirds, the grounds, ambience, furnishings, amenities, and comfort of my room were all first-class. I immediately thought of the Harrisons as part of my extended family: They welcomed me with big smiles and genuine warmth...they told me that... more

Our visit to the Hummingbird Inn was perfect. The relaxing atmosphere of the Inn is just what we needed to escape our hectic work-a-day schedules. Patty and Dan are the best hosts. We were welcomed into their "home" and treated to a lovily room, 3 delicious breakfasts and the peace and quiet the town of Goshen is known for. Our... more

The Hummingbird Inn is a wonderful place to escape the bustle of everyday life! Set in the foothills of Virginia's George Washington National Forest, the inn is an oasis for relaxation and R & R. The hosts are most gracious, the rooms charming and clean with every imaginable amenity, the breakfast delightfully healthy, and the grounds invite roaming. We'll come... more

If you're looking for a totally relaxing experience away from all of the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, visit the Humming Bird Inn in Goshen, Virginia. The road from Lexington took us along the scenic Maury River and ended at the picturesque town of Goshen . Patty and Dan are the owners and hosts. They treated us like... more

Recently my husband and I were married at the Hummingbird Inn. We took along with us both sets of parents and our four small children. It was an amazing experience for all. We loved the Inn, it was quite cozy and very beautiful. I would enthusiastically recommend this B&B for anyone looking to enjoy a nice getaway or a place... more

This was our first bed and breakfast and, if they are all like the Hummingbird Inn, we’ll never stay at a hotel again. Do you like enchanting gardens, the sound of running water, and innkeepers who treat you like family? Well, Dan and Patty run the Hummingbird Inn as if everyone is family. We strolled around the lovely gardens and... more
