We had a 4-day, 3-night stay for my birthday. My partner and I (along with our dog, Romeo) arrived at the Inn and we were instantly greeted by Sandra. She was so warm and inviting. We got a tour of the Inn, got to meet Sandra's husband Jeff, and we were on our own! The Inn is centrally located in... More

We're staying at the Hummingbird and Sandra & Jeff are great hosts in a wonderful place. The food is terrific and we love the fact that the train simply adds to the ambience ! We'll be back, but next time on a motorcycle !

A wonderful old house / inn run as a bed and breakfast by a really friendly couple. The house is historic but comfortable. The gardens are extensive and beautiful with a river in the back. The Wifi works surprisingly well for how remote this location is. Breakfast was delicious, served around a communal table that encouraged some very enjoyable bonding... More

We had a wonderful three-day stay in this beautiful B&B to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Warmly welcomed by Sandra and Jeff, we felt “at home” and pampered. We began each day sitting in the sun room with coffee before going to a delicious and exquisitely presented breakfast. We stayed in the Franklin room. It featured a comfortable bed, lovely paintings,... More

Very pet friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and the couple that own it are very nice. The breakfasts we had were delicious. We were very accommodated! About a 30 minute drive to the homestead and 10 minutes to get to the Goshen pass!! Rooms were clean. Bed comfortable. Great grounds with a nice deck overlooking a creek.

We stopped at the Hummingbird B&B on our way to visit family. The new innkeepers, Sandra and Jeff, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The inn is beautiful with lovely guest rooms. The historic home is large with several communal rooms and a large yard with beautiful gardens and a private deck overlooking a stream. The breakfast was... More

My wife and I were in dire need of a weekend getaway and the Hummingbird satisfied that need perfectly. The new owners, Sarah and Jeff, met us at the door with a warm welcome and help with our bags. The Inn is a historical treasure with original structures from the late 1700's and the majority of the building dating back... More

Thank you for such a thorough review of our Historic Inn. We appreciate your pleasantly kind description of your time at the Hummingbird Inn. We look forward to seeing you again when you're riding through the greater Lexington area. Happy Trails!! p.s. It's a feather pillow top mattress cover that made your sleeping experience extra special! More

Our experience at this lovely B&B was a highlight of a road trip down Rt 11. From the minute we arrived, we found the owners to be warm and hospitable. We arrived a bit early, and to our delight were offered a tour of the property and help getting our luggage upstairs. The Franklin Room was airy and cool on... More

My girlfriend and I recently spent 2 nights at the Hummingbird Inn as part of a vacation through West Virginia and Virginia. We were a bit surprised when we arrived and found out that the B&B had recently been sold and that this was the first week under new ownership. We weren't sure what to expect. What we got was... Thank you so much for your kind words. We enjoyed conversations with you and appreciated your feedback on fun things you did in the Goshen area. We made it to Natural Bridge and it was spectacular! All the best to you. More
