The hotel is okay, but the staff is weird. For some reason, the mannager of the hotel was there almost 24-7. I don't know the situation, but I just thoght that was too weird. My family has stayed here twice, most recently over Labor Day, and were very pleased. We needed three cribs, which the staff quickly set up for us on arrival. Staff was friendly, courteous, efficient- absolutely no complaints in that department. Rooms were very clean and appropriately appointed. This is deffinitely my choice when in the area. more

The hotel was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a thermostat, so we could set the temperature and relax. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to Charlottesville/Monticello, but it's worth the extra driving. The pool was heated and much larger than those found in most Marriott hotels. more

This excellent hotel provided a great base for a 5 day tour of Virginia. The room was spaceous and spotlessly clean, and the staff were excellent. There is a large, well stocked breakfast room (complimentry) and a small laundry.
