This is a great place for a relaxing quiet vacation. We love the peace and quiet. The lake is great for fishing and beautiful to look at. There are a lot of activities for children and adults. The cabins are roomy with lots of extras. Would highly recommend this for a family getaway from the hustle and bustle of the... More

We selected this location because it was in the middle of the historical areas we wanted to visit (Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Appomattox, Wilderness, etc. The longest drive was about 1.5 hours. We did not spend much time here but the facilities appeared to cater to varied interests; marina (closed during our stay), pool, horses, basketball, miniature golf, trails, tennis, etc.... More

Stayed in a 3 BR cabin for 5 nights the last week of October. The trees were past prime, but still beautiful. We visited Richmond one day and Charlottesville another. We made it a point to drive to Cuckoo, a small community close by just so I could get a picture of the sign as my family accuses me be... More

So a cabin is 400 a night. As a wedding gift I was given a weekend package by my brother. Now this a blue green vacation Club resort. The evening we arrived., we were asked for a credit card to be kept on file for gratuities. Nothing wrong with that. Then we were asked what we wanted to do. ...... More

Were there the last week of October 2014. Had some beautiful weather and some wind. The yurt was cozy with great small log type furniture. Hearing the leaves and nuts hit the roof was very relaxing. Cooked out on the grill a few nights. Enjoyed a Historical Presentation and Guided Hike with author Rick Britton, also took a jewelry making... More

This is a place I truly hated to leave ! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Our two bedroom, one bath deluxe cabin was perfect! On grounds we played miniature golf, rented a Jon boat with trolling motor and did some catch and release fishing on the 60 acre lake. We went on a wagon ride and a trail ride. At... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Shenandoah Crossing and it was wonderful. We arrived around 9 pm Friday night and it was very dark. The directions on mapquest were perfect, just a little difficult to see some of the turns in the dark going 50 on a two lane road with a local right behind you and seeing... More

We have been here twice. It's great to stay in the cabin or the yurt. The biggest thing you will notice is its REALLY quiet. The night is quite, dark and peaceful. If you are crazy busy like we are, you will be forced to stop and enjoy. It's just slower and less rushed down here. The staff is very... More

We have been here three times now. We stayed in a cabin the first time then in the grande yurt on two different occasions. You can't go wrong staying anywhere here but if you would like a unique experience you should definitely give the yurts a shot. The grande yurt is awesome for our situation because with four adults, you... More
