First time staying at this chain and loved it. One of the best hotel stays I have ever had. The room suite was soooo nice and roomy, comfortable and clean. I felt like I was in an apt. And they offer free breakfast and dinner!!!! The food was great! If you have wheat or gluten alleriges, you have to eat... more

Pros: near mall & restaurants in decent part of town; clean rooms, pleasant staff Cons: old, small, hard to find, inefficient service When I say old, I mean bottom of tub was grey, although it was clean; beds were not lumpy but certainly not new. No shampoo & no hair dryer. Motel is off main street,so MAKE SURE YOU GET... more

We were in Richmond for the weekend for a soccer tournament and the hotel rate looked like a good value. It took a long time to check in, as the office and housekeeping was understaffed. We could not get the room we reserved, so they gave us two rooms, so they tried to make up for it. The rooms were... more

I had a couple of routine nights at this property recently. It was tucked back off the main road, so it’s a bit tough to find without good directions. It’s an extended stay property, with a small kitchenette in every room. Everything in my room was clean and working. The room seemed a bit cramped with everything that was there... more

I chose this hotel because it was a fairly good price, I liked the idea of having a full kitchen and the picture showed interior corridors. Arrived @ 11PM to find that it was all exterior rooms and that the office closes at 11. Had to wait outside for about 10 minutes for security. Then I had to carry some... more

Room was filthy. Pizza crusts on floor as well as lots of peanuts and pistachio shells. Requested room change but none were available. Gave us our first night free and promised that the room would be cleaned first thing in the morning. I bought Clorox clean-up and scrubbed kitchen and bathroom. I returned to the room next night and nuts... more

As others have stated, the room was small, but we found it very clean. The rooms have a small kitchen so that you could prepare meals, and a small ref. to store leftovers or takeout. The room had a queen sized bed, a chair and nightstand, with ample lighting. There was a 19" TV with basic satellite channels, and I... more

Being terrible planners, we missed out on getting a room from the reserved block of rooms at the Hilton for the wedding we were attending in Richmond. Turned out that a majority of reasonably priced hotels nearby were booked as well. That's when we found the Homestead. The price was more than decent and the location was extremely convenient. However,... more

The Homewood Studio Suites in Glen Allen, Virginia ( just outside of Richmond ) is a great place for business travellers or people who are planning to stay an extended period of time. The rooms come complete with a full kitchen set up which for those of us travelling on a budget can be great. The rooms are nice and... more
