Number 1, the elevator should have been a dead give-away as it was dirty with trash. Walking to the rooom was dark and gloomy. The dark brown doors to the rooms added to this eerie look to the decor. Once you enter the room and proceed the 2 double beds were not inviting. Then the vanity is located in the... more

I travel frequently for my office. I was going to be traveling each week for a few months and wanted a location that would make my travel more comfortable. One evening I noticed what I thought was a pad of butter wrapper. When I lifted the sofa cushion it turned out to be a condom wrapper. I looked around the... more

I absolutely loved the spacious rooms, decor, and amenities of this hotel, from the huge TV to the beds with sheets that fit to the 24-hour "gallery" food center. BUT -- and it's a deal-killer of a BUT -- the HVAC unit was so loud as to be unbearable. We tried leaving it set on "low cool," but the noise... more

Me & my boyfriend stood here after visiting the theme park "Kings Dominion" in VA. We checked in electronically which was a breeze. Very impressed by the 42 inch HD TV in the bedroom. The big couches in my room felt like home. Service was wonderful. Very clean bed/bathrooms. Big beautiful bed. The continental breakfast buffet included Starbucks coffee. Free... more

My wife and I first stayed in this hotel in early 2007, shortly after Hyatt invested millions of dollars to convert the property from what I believe was AmeriSuites. We found the check-in, the lobby, the restaurant/service area and especially the rooms to be very clean and comfortable. We've booked in other hotels in this area and this property is... more

I made my reservation for this trip through Priceline and selected 3 stars or better. The Hyatt place accepted my bid and took the reservation. When I arrived after a three hour drive I was exhausted and road weary. The staff greeted me at the door, checked me in and showed me around the lobby explaining all the features (coffee... more

Stayed at this Hyatt this past weekend, chosen via a bid on Priceline. Was apprehensive, as Priceline chooses your hotel, but pleasantly relieved upon arrival to the hotel. Decor is very modern and impressive and front desk was pleasant. We had a king room that had a non-functioning heater, but after a call to the front-desk, we had it checked... more

This Hyatt Place is beautifully decorated in a hip, modern style. The rooms are a decent size, though the separation between bedroom area and living area could be better. (We were with our two kids, both under 8 years old.) The TV is new. Our room was quiet, despite being close to the elevator. The breakfast was good, complete with... more

We had very few (but the most important) amenities were not in the room (hair dryer, toiletries). The Bakery Cafe was almost non-existent. No coffee after certain hours, no wine, baked goods had been there all day. And housekeeping was also non-existent - we went out at 10 a.m. and returned at 9 p.m. The room and beds were exactly... more
