Recently, I stayed at the Studio Plus for a business trip to Richmond. I normally stay at a hotel like Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, but they were sold out. I was referred to the Studio Plus by them.
This hotel is tucked back away from the main road, so it was very quiet and seems to be relatively unknown. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile by the lady at the front desk. The room I got - I believe they called it a Deluxe room - was larger than I was what I was used to. It had a queen pillow-top bed, sofa bed, and a good-sized kitchen area. I was surprised that it even had a dishwasher!
The next day, I had a chance to speak with the manager. He told me that this hotel is geared more towards longer-term stays (e.g. 7-30 days), and it and its amenities are designed to make the hotel feel more like a home than a hotel.
