We were looking for a different place in the mountains. We found it. Thought we were lost. Then we arrived. The owner showed us our cabin. It was miraculous. We asked if there was a restaurant. She said it was 15 miles away but she could cook us our dinner and deliver it with wine from her home 2 miles... More

This was such a sweet, quaint and quiet getaway place! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, view and breakfast! Can't want to return. A little hideaway right over the North Carolina boarder!!

Before starting our trek on the Crooked Road Music Heritage Trail, we spent a couple days at the Old Fiddler's Convention in Galax. This was the PERFECT place to feel like you were in the middle of nowhere, yet, close enough to town and the highway. The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway is awesome, as you are only 20... More

We spent one night in the 'vintage view' cabin and absolutely loved it! We arrived to a warm cabin, lights and music on, with the addition of a Christmas tree and fairy lights around the bed. It had a wonderful feel and was very romantic. We went for a run in the woods, came back and used the hot tub... More

Just spent one night at the Fiddlers Roost in the Owl's Nest cabin. We loved it. We were back East visiting family for the holidays and needed a little time to ourselves. This was the perfect place. Very peaceful. The owners had gone in and turned on the lights, turned on the heat and had music playing upon arrival. It... More

Stayed at the Fiddler's Roost, cabin five (Owl's nest) for our second wedding anniversary. When we were planning this trip we wanted to stay somewhere in Virginia that would have beautiful scenery and hiking. We wanted something cozy and more isolated and ideally I wanted a hot tub looking out over the mountains. We were so lucky to find Fiddler's... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Owl's Nest cabin at Fiddler's Roost. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, all cabin are nestled on the side of a mountain - very quiet and peaceful and totally removed from commercialism. We had a large front porch with rockers and a table that was the arrival point for our hot breakfast -... More

We encountered Fiddlers Roost online, seeking out a convenient location for a family gathering.. While I'm sure this would also be a wonderful romantic getaway, what a great setup this was for our family reunion! We rented the larger cabin and used it as a "hub", while family members enjoyed the independence of having individual cabins. We felt so at... More

Stayed for a total of 5 nights at the Twin Oak cabin. There is a lovely 2 person hot tub on the porch which was very secluded. There was a cabin next to us but it was empty the whole time. We booked our stay without knowing about the breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. It did some what tie... More

I had pictured in my mind what sort of pIace I wanted to spend the night at: a secluded cabin in the woods with view and beautiful nature. Fiddler's Roost had all that! The cabin itself, named Red Rooster Inn,was super cosy with a hot tub on the porch. It is more than big enough for two and we had a... More
