This was my second stay at the Galax, VA Knights Inn. I am happy to report that I was just as pleased with this stay as with my first. My room this visit was in the upper building on the property (which definitely has the more scenic view - though in the dead of winter, it wasn't quite as breathtaking... More

My wife and I recently stayed for a week at the Knights Inn in Galax, and honestly, the motel was actually very nice. The room was large and the furniture was just fine. The property is dated, and there is a certain "kitch" to the place, but it was clean and quiet. For the price that you pay per night,... More

We stayed here for five nights while visiting Mayberry Days in late September, 2014. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower was actually incredible, could have stayed in there all day. Overall, a very quiet and relaxing stay. The only problem: if you have AT&T cellular service you will have absolutely no reception or internet in... More

I had zero expectations when I made this reservation, as I just wanted a cheap place to sleep. However, this little gem of a motel was a VERY pleasant surprise! Yes, it's an older building. Yes, wifi is only available in public areas (though I had excellent reception in my room so it wasn't an issue). No, there's no flat... More

It's not a fancy 4 star hotel by any means but it's a great value for the money. An older property with pink sinks (2 of 'em) outside the the bathroom and pink toilets and bath inside, floral bedspreads, and a very 'vintage' look to it. But it's VERY clean, the staff are kind and helpful, there are no creepy... More

Keep in mind this is an older property, But it is run by really great people and the motel is clean as a whistle. It is really quiet and tucked up in the mountains, and the view is simply the best. It is centrally located to everything that would be of interest, We were here for 5 days and we will be... More

only 40 bucks and well worth that. nothing fancy. Morning breakfast was pretty skimpy, but you get what you pay for. Nothing bad to say about this place. The water pressure was amazing. Not a bad motel for a small town.

Okay, there's no way you'll confuse this with the Ritz, but then you won't be paying hundreds of dollars, either. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The blanket on the bed probably ought to be replaced, but it worked. The shower felt great. The tv was old-style, but I wasn't there to watch tv. So, I never... More
