We had a wonderful time at Killahevlin. It costs more than the average B and B in Virginia, but for the price, the amenities can't be touched. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Those who are turned off at the idea of a B and B because you often share close quarters for breakfast will be surprised to find... More

We so enjoyed our stay here I am composing my first trip advisor commentary. The house is well-tended and authentically interesting at every turn. My husband and I were welcomed warmly to the house "pub" and host Tom enthusiastically shared information about the house and area. Our spacious room included a well furnished, enclosed front porch area for reading and... More

This was my fourth visit and delightful as always. Beautifully restored with painstaking care in the interior details, this is a house to be admired and enjoyed throughout. Tom, the owner, is a gracious and friendly host and prepares a wonderful breakfast served in a bright and cheerful dining room with views to the lovely property. And, he serves up... More

Very accomodating. This B&B was our last stop on our motorcyle trip and Tom and Kathy allowed us to leave our vehicle and trailer at their place for our return. The breakfast was out of this world. The front porch veiws are awesome.

This was our first bed and breakfast stay and it was all I hoped it would be. We stayed here for our 20th wedding anneversary. The inn dates from 1905 and is full of interesting antiques. The sitting rooms, pub, and sleeping porch contribute to the relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very nice and we liked the fireplace and antique... More

We had a wonderful time at Killahevlin in June celebrating our anniversary. This is an unusually charming spot and the hosts just couldn't have been more gracious, friendly and helpful. Food was filling and delicious. My only mildly negative comment would have related to the paint, but at the time I was attributing minor upkeep issues (that really weren't a... More

We had a wonderful time at Killahevlin last weekend. Tom is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable and friendly. We stayed in a suite in the smaller building behind the main building and the rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We had our own balcony and spent a few hours out there enjoying the view of the well kept... More

My husband and I have been to alot of b & b's...this was the first that being an "IRISH b & b" offered a PUB atmosphere...with Harp on tap and wine to the guests! It was great to come back from all the wine tastings and relax.... Great breakfast...eggs benedict to die for and crepes filled with delicious fruit! The... More

We've are painting the entire outside of the building. All of the cedar siding has been painted and workmen (and Tom) are working on the lower windows and doors. The grass got away from me between the painting, the heat, and the rain, but we've gotten the grass cleaned up. In addition, we have upgraded the plants on the verandah... More

Outstandingly welcoming host but attention needs to be paid to the slightly tired decor and physical surroundings. Excellent breakfast.

We agree that the house needs painted. We've had people painting the outside of the house for the last couple weeks. When they finish, the entire outside of the house will have been painted. This past weekend was just too hot (103 on Saturday) to have people working outside, but we are making slow but steady progress on that front.... More

We stayed here over the fourth of July weekend and had just a wonderful time. We stayed in the White room because we wanted to have access to the porch. First of all, the pictures online do not do the rooms justice - the rooms are HUGE! The bathroom is big, and the porch, while you have to share it... More
