We just returned from staying a night at the Killahevlin Inn. We wished we had stayed longer. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The property is very lovely, the grounds large and inviting and the inside amenities are also very nice. We stayed in the Blue Room. It is a very nice room with a huge bathroom and tub.... More

We had a great weekend ! The service was excellent, the breakfast was beautifully presented and quite tasty. The view of the mountains at sunset was inspiring. Local dining covers the whole spectrum ---from fast food to 5 star quality. Tom was able to point out some excellent choices as well as gives us hints about the wineries and local... More

If you want to be spoiled for the weekend.... you MUST stay at the Killahevlin! My boyfriend and I spent Fourth of July at the Killhavelin and it was more than a treat to spend it in Front Royal. When we arrived there Tom welcomed us into our room in the main House- The Green Room. Before we arrived, I... More

We had a very nice overnight stay at the Killahevlin. The owners were gracious, friendly and helpful -- Tom even helped jump my dad's lemon of a rental car the next morning! The rooms are large, well-equipped and well-kept. The breakfast was really delicious. Truly one of the nicest B&Bs we have ever stayed in. The only downside -- and... More

The wife and I stayed here August 17-18 for our 44th anniversary. There are not enough superlatives available to express our delight with Tom and Kathy! From their warm welcome to the outstanding gourmet breakfasts, everything was beyond our expectations. Both are to be commended on their knowledge of the area, and recommendations on where to eat. It was a... More

We love this quaint, beautiful, romantic Virginia estate house as a great place to stay for a 1-night stopover, or a few days' stay. The building and rooms are comfortable and ornate, and the house clubroom features complimentary Harp beer on-tap - a refreshing respite after a long drive. We've stayed at the Killahevlin twice over the last few years,... More

The hosts were very nice and the breakfast was one of the best we've ever had at a B & B. The mattress in our suite was the worst I had ever slept on which put a serious crimp in our ability to stay awake during the vineyard tours. The area was nice, although not very ethically diverse. The delightful... More

The hardest thing for an innkeeper to do is to provide bedding that everyone likes. Matresses are especially difficult. Some people like soft ones, others like firm ones. We provide the highest quality bedding and could have firmed up the mattress if they had said something to us. This is the first complaint we have had on this, or any... More

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Killahevlin and it was an amazing experience. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast and I had such a great experience, that I don't want to stay at a regular hotel ever again! Where do I begin? Killahevlin is on top of a hill overlooking the town of Front... More

This is what we wrote by e-mail to Innkeepers, Tom & Kathy Conkey: "There are not enough superlatives in the language to describe our wonderful weekend at Killahevlin. The gourmet breakfasts, your gracious and warm hospitality, the relaxing and charming environment, those special touches of cookies, chocolates, & champagne along with the delightful company of Murphy, KC, Tigger, and Henrie--every... Excellent B&B! Our "Green" room was warm and toasty even though it was a cold weekend. The hearty breakfasts allowed us to skip lunch as we toured the local vineyards and civil war sites. We met wonderful guests in the self-serve free bar.
