Although it was late on a Monday and only 2 walkable places to eat were open, Hotel Floyd was clean, the coffee was great in the morning and our view was really special (an old graveyard). Highly recommend it!

We scheduled a stop here between Brevard, NC and Shenandoah National Park--this small town is very charming, and earns a stop on its own! Would have liked to have spent the following day and night, but had reservations in the park. The Hotel Floyd was perfect! Great management, nice, large, well appointed rooms, all decorated differently--you can visit the web... More

Our stay at Hotel Floyd was an excellent experience. The rooms were the cleanest most comfortable I have ever stayed in. The suite's layout had been planned very well, making the most of the available space. Residents of Floyd have contributed their artistic talents to the decor of the rooms and suites. We stayed in "The Artist Suite" and there... More

Fourteen of my family members just stayed at the Hotel Floyd when in Floyd for a family reunion. The suites were perfect for larger groups like ours and gave us space to gather and visit. There are also porches running along the outside of the building where one can sit in rockers and read or visit. The furnishings are beautiful... More

I haven't stayed here but visited with clients who were booked into one of the pet-accommodating rooms. It was a gorgeous suite, beautifully fitted out. My clients have stayed there twice and reported it being very comfortable, and the staff very helpful and pleasant. Floyd is an old town that is being renewed in spirit and physical structure by a... Very clean room. The hotel appears to be new and is steps away from downtown Floyd. Unfortunately no breakfast included, so we had to go next door to the diner on main street. Nice little town just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also visited School House Fabrics but was disappointed that their selection was no better than anywhere else -... More

I'm not sure about the hotel room theme we've experienced, but a holistic yoga rooms seems quite odd to me. The unwashed teapot with leftovers of the previous hotel guest was not what you would call enjoyable. We did have a laugh when we witnessed the cemetery right next door. Who would think of this? Not for us...

The other reviews on TripAdvisor are what led me to choose the Hotel Floyd for a night's stay during my trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway and I am glad I followed their advice. I was looking for clean and reasonably priced hotels in the small towns along the BRP for my trip and the Hotel Floyd exceeded my expectations.... More

Not crazy green. Just efficient green. The room we stayed in was beautiful. All the furniture was from local craftspeople. The head boards and box valences were lovely carved wood. The desk was beautiful. Even the small tables were exquisite. I particularly loved the cd player so that we could listen to the artists who come to Floyd. Beautiful experience.
