Clean, comfortable large room; everything well maintained and lovely. Includes mini fridge and microwave. Free breakfast. Walk to Mexican for dinner or a short drive to Italian. The beer and pizza place is closed Monday through Wednesday however. Hope they stay busy here! Off the beaten path and worth it!

We stayed in the new block of this noted hotel. I am unsure if they are able to sustain the eco-friendly reputation of the hotel while maintaining this quality of accommodation but it was very pleasant nonetheless. Quiet and friendly with a very spacious room. They gave us the third floor so we could get AT&T coverage. Very thoughtful.

Thank you for the review. We hope you were able to get ample cell service from the 3rd floor as we know Floyd is a little tricky with AT&T. Thanks again and we hope you can visit us in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the future. More

I loved this little gem!!! What a cute and unexpected find in little Floyd. Each room is decorated with a different theme. We got the Blue Mountain School which I believe is a local charter school. It was uniquely decorated with mugs, colored pencils, and books. The bathroom featured nice toiletries and even a black towel specifically there for us... More

We stayed here on the recommendation of a person at the Floyd Country Store, a famous music venue, and it was a terrific recommendation. The hotel is modern, nicely kept and the best designed small hotel I have ever seen. Each room is decorated with local artists and venues and businesses, but not in a way tht smacks of commercialism... More

The Hotel Floyd is not completely unlike a Hampton Inn-- very similar in terms of amenities and formality, but I think you will like it a lot more than your typical mid-range hotel. The staff was friendly and full of helpful recommendations. Our room was definitely roomier than your average hotel room. No tripping over suitcases here! There was a... More

Thank you for the comments and description of our wonderful property. Our breakfast is high (if not the highest) on our list of things to enhance. This spring we're going to add items to the breakfast and hopefully incorporate some locally made items that should make all guests excited about the food offerings. We look forward to having you back... More

My husband and I stayed in the Hibiscus room, I'm pretty sure that was what they named it, and it was nice. The room was big enough for our short 2 night stay with very cool wooden head boards on the beds. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good as well. The cleanness of are room... Thank you for kind words in your review. Since 2014, we've made some changes in the housekeeping department to resolve issues like you've mentioned. Our attention to detail is extremely important and you never should have witnessed any uncleanliness issues. Thanks again and we look forward to having you back! More

I've stayed at the Hotel Floyd twice in the past six months and will stay again on my next business trip to the area. The staff are friendly and the comfortable rooms are larger than average. The continental breakfast is better than what Holiday Inn Express typically offers. I booked thru Expedia and had no problems.

We have stayed at the Hotel Floyd three times now and will return again. The rooms are spacious and clean and furnished with hand made items from the local area. Each room has a different theme and is uniquely decorated. They have added more rooms and now serve breakfast. The staff is helpful and courteous. The hotel is also green.... More

The staff at Hotel Floyd was not only friendly, but super helpful! There was a small mix up with rooms, and not only did they correct the mistake, but they also offered to comp our stay!! This was not only an incredible example of hospitality, but a blessing to us. We will be recommending Hotel Floyd to all our friends... More

This hotel is really a neat place to stay. We bought a deal on livingsocial and upgraded the deal to a suite. When we booked the room, there was a miscommunication on the total price of the upgrade, but the front desk was willing to honor the original price given to me. That was impressive to me because most hotels... More
