Stopped in on our way to Roanoake-nice property slightly off the beaten track. The tasting room/gift shop is pretty small and I was surprised by the number of people that were there near closing on Saturday evening. Our host was friendly and nice, rather quiet overall. I liked one of the wines enough to enjoy a glass on the patio;... More

This B&B is part of a vineyard/winery. The house is very nice, as was the room (East Room). We enjoyed an evening on the porch. The wine is not bad, and we enjoyed our complimentary wine tasting. The breakfast was good and we had a nice visit with the owner. Especially enjoyed the hummingbirds as we sat on the porch... More

My husband and I have stayed at Fincastle Bed and Breakfast twice now, and have had a wonderful experience both times. Georgia and David are the nicest hosts and attend to all of your needs without being "in the way". Each time we have stayed here, we have stayed in the East Room. The bed is comfortable and everything is... More

I stopped in on a week day after seeing a sign on I-81. I was the only one there so I had the place to myself. There's a chance I caught the owner at a bad time yet it was during their published business hours & while I didn't feel like I was being pushed out, I also did not... More

My husband and I stayed at the Fincastle B&B on our way to a wedding in Washington D.C. The location was perfect. Quiet and not far of the highway. The rooms are beautifully appointed clean and very comfortable..We checked in Georgia and David are great hosts. We enjoyed a wine tasting and the story behind the wines. We purchased a... More

First thing to know: this lodging was once a farm, then it was abandoned, then it became a vineyard, then it became a winery, and only after all that did it become a B&B. Thus, this place is located well off the beaten path, and you'll have to drive to anything else you'd want to do in this area. This... More

A beautiful little vineyard nestled in the hills surrounding Roanoke, Va. What a treat. After sampling several delicious wines, we purchased a chilled bottle and sat under the covered patio. We were entertained by a wonderful tinkling pond that houses some musical bullfrogs. Some of the staff was setting up for a wedding on the grounds- it is a beautiful... More

This is the perfect spot to go for a romantic get away! We went there for our anniversary and were able to have some great wine and a beautiful location outside to enjoy it! The gluten-free breakfasts were also a super addition! No worries and great hosts! Good location when you are traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway!

We have stayed here twice now and will again on our next visit to the area. Rooms are large and the linens worthy of any 5* hotel. The breakfasts are delightful. The wine is very good and reasonably priced, although we are not partial to the sweeter wines that some of their grapes produce. We love their blended red. They... More

My wife and I popped into to taste the local wine with friends and enjoyed our short time there. Richard the Winemaker knew his stuff and was a delight to talk to. We especially enjoyed the Chardonnay and purchased some to take back to the UK along with some glasses. The Vineyard is in a beautiful setting and worth the... More
