The home is beautiful with lots of originality. It's an older home with lots of personality and beautifully updated. The room we stayed at was the Daisy. All rooms are spacious and have their own bathrooms and are decorated so uniquely. We were greeted by Cotton when we first arrived- sweetest doggie!! The hosts had warm cookies when we arrived-... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ann and Janie's Inn. They are the epitome of the phrase Southern Hospitality. The Daisy Room very comfortable and the breakfast was not only tasty but generous as well. Love the high ceilings and airy sitting rooms. Also, we found Cotton their dog to be a gracious host. We look forward to our next... More

We stayed one night at the Inn on the Avenues and were very pleased. Our room (The Garden Room) was very attractive and comfortable. The location is very conventient to Longwood College and Farmville 'downtown'. There is a lot of fun to be had in such a small town, between browsing Greenfront's furniture, biking or walking on the High Bridge... More

As a first time B &B visitor, I was nervous! There was no reason to be! The owners welcomed us and sat & chatted a bit about the history of the area. The house was beautiful & clean! I felt like we were visiting family! We stayed in the garden room. It was clean, fresh and inviting! The bed was... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Inn on the Avenues and our experience was truly unforgettable. The exterior of the house is quite charming, with a porch just made for relaxing while enjoying the paper and that first cup of coffee. Upon arrival, our hosts, Janie and Ann, greeted us and after allowing us time to freshen up,... More

I have gotten the pleasure to say at this bed and breakfast for the last 3 weeks due to my work. I have gotten to stay in all 3 rooms and I can tell you they are absolutely beautiful. The beds are so comfortable and I have just slept wonderfully. Janie and Annie are the hosts and they are the... More

After reading all the positive reviews here, I had high expectations for Janie and Ann's bed and breakfast, and let me tell you, these ladies do NOT disappoint! When Janie and I were emailing about my trip, she asked for dietary restrictions, and I told her I was gluten free. When we arrived, she and her mom, Ann, had baked... More

My fiancé and I HIGHLY recommend The Inn on the Avenues. Everything was superb and in all honesty I can say it's the best bed and breakfast experience I've ever had (and I've stayed at a LOT of B&B's, lol). The Room: Our two night stay in the Daisy Room was perfect. It has this adorable comfy window seat and... More

We and another couple wanted to bike the High Bridge Trail out of Farmville, and this B&B is perfectly situated for that. A beautifully maintained house with rooms upstairs, all private baths. The sitting areas are cozy and the breakfast was simply excellent. The owners have a wonderfully behaved dog that was friendly but not intrusive--a delightful companion.

While preparing for our visit to Longwood University I turned to TripAdvisor for help in finding out where to stay! Once again, TripAdvisor and its reviewers didn't steer me wrong. This beautiful home with its warm and wonderful owners made us feel like we were "home"! Everything, and I mean everything, was prepared for our visit. The Inn is spotless,... More
