This is a beautiful place but has given my husband and I the worst experience we've ever had at any hotel/inn/hostel ever. After getting married at an evening wedding just north of Farmville, we intended to spend the night at the Longwood Bed & Breakfast before driving to the beach in North Carolina where we were planning on spending a... If you want to sleep in a big old house, this is the place for you. However, there is no inn keeper onsite so it's a bit of a strange experience. There are post-it notes everywhere "Dear Guest, please dont...." Felt like I was sleeping in my grandmothers house. I really missed the interaction with the Inn Keeper as they're... More

I enjoyed staying at this B&B. I was in the Grant room, and the bed was wonderfully comfy. I liked the atmosphere of having the historic furniture (not that I believe Grant actually wrote any historic documents on the desk--but maybe??) in this grand old house, without the fussiness and excessive lace of many B&B's. I was in Farmville for... More

I was initially excited about my stay here, but upon arrival I've had a few nauseous moments which ruined the whole stay for me. First, I've noticed that the bathroom wasn't cleaned entirely. There was hair in the bathroom drain hair stopper from the previous resident. And I personally couldn't bring myself to clean it. Afterwards, when it was time... More

I am not a hotel/motel type person as it is way too dull. My room at this B&B was wonderful and didn't at all feel like a hotel type room. It had beautiful furniture and a really nice bath. I felt like I was staying at a friend's house -- a really, really rich friend's house. The breakfast was delicious... More

I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about the Longwood Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are spacious and comfortable each with it's own bathroom. The beds are comfortable with clean and soft linens. The bathrooms was stocked with plenty of towels. But the crown jewel would be breakfast!! Absolutely delicious!! I am looking forward to returning soon and often!

I stayed while in town for business. The property is beautiful and with the university students gone for the summer it was SO very quiet. It is a bit different in that you enter by yourself, there is no innkeeper on the premise. But I found the instructions easy enough to figure out and made my way inside without any... More

Myself and a coworker stayed here while working on a project in Downtown Farmville. While I typically do not stay at B&B's while working, this location was perfect and had everything we needed. Quiet, various places for working and collaboration, reliable high-speed internet, and comfortable. I've stayed at various other hotels in Farmville in the past, but will now always... More

I travel to Farmville several times a year on business. A work associate lives in Farmville and is friends with the innkeeper Lorrie. This B & B is charming in its simplicity and has a certain homey comfort that I enjoy. It is not fancy but has genuine character and a nice History. The beds are comfortable and the linen,... More

I stayed at the Longwood B&B for 2 nights. I stayed in the Lancaster Room, which has the largest king+ sized bed imaginable. I can't speak for the ease of booking a room there as my accommodations were made for me. However, upon arriving, there was a letter in the mailbox for me containing the code to the door to... More
