My wife and I absolutely loved these cabins. We stayed in cabin #3 and it was wonderful. Very clean. Great price and right off the Blue Ridge trail. We will definitely be back. They have satellite if you need that. But the views are the best part.

The lonesome pine cabins used to be one of my favorites stops son our Blue Ridge Parkway trips. We ride motorcycles and consider the Parkway ours "home" long distance ride since we have done the trip 5 or 6 times. The Lonesome Pine was one of our anchor places to stay and I always loved it. The only place we... More

This spot had all we could wish for. Views, sunsets, quiet. The manager, Amos was very friendly and gave us some good tips for the area. What made this so special was the price, hot tub in the room, the view from the porch. It was a lovely night to remember.

The 2bedroom cabin was cozy and we had plenty of towels and washcloths. The kitchen in the cabin was " surface" cleaned. The wooden cabinets were filthy; so was the dining table. The attendant; office guy was extremely nice. He repaired the broken toilet handle on our last day there. I feel it's extremely important they reinstall phone service in... More

I spent several nights in Cabin #4 in October 2011. (The drop-down doesn't go back this far)I wanted someplace quiet, secluded, peaceful, and this was perfect. The cabin was spotless, the front porch had a rocking chair and a gorgeous view of the sunset, and the gentleman who checked me in was professional, courteous, and funny. The cabin is separated... A good overnighter choice in this somewhat isolated section of the blue ridge parkway. Not a lot, in fact not really anything, in the way of local food options, but a toaster oven and a microwave provide eat in options. Not entirely sure what would prompt someone to stay longer than a short stop though.

Cabins are very clean, scenery/views are great. If you are riding the Parkway and need a place to stay this is it. Everything you need is close by. Raps place at the entrance has great food. Would have loved to stayed 2-3 nights.

My fiancée and I stayed here over MLK weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic. Cabin #1 was warm and cozy, fireplace worked perfectly, jacuzzi tub was amazingly relaxing. Little difficult to get to, but that was the snowstorm's fault, not the owner's. We WILL be back.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend after Christmas 2012. This was our first time staying here and had heard from friends it was a nice place. First of all, we got lost getting to our destination. Our GPS took us elsewhere. What was suppose to be an hour and half trip turned into almost... More
